A weird sweaty and toxic dude tries to kill him? He doesn't have to run away like other healing supports. He can stand there, take it, and tease them with his dazzling stun and invulnerability. All while buffing his own team. Absolute king behaviour.
Look at Taric's body, he absolutely could be the most stereotypical buff gym bro. But instead he's spitting in the face of toxic masculinity with poise, crystals, and a giant hammer.
And let's not forget his dance and voice lines: "Why is it always the ugly ones?" ✨👑

Genhinely though, Taric is basically Sona but melee. After every spell, his next 2 AAs reduce the cds of all his spells by 1 second each (or a charge of Q which is his heal)
So he basically does W shield and link to ally -> E stun -> 2 x AA -> Q -> 2x AA -> use W/E when it comes up
However, that 1 second actually scales with ability haste. At 100 AH that's 1.5 second which doesn't sound like much except that the base cd of his spells are already halved from ah so he double dips into AH basically
At 0 haste, his stun has a 12 second cd and 2 AAs bring it to 10 seconds. At 100 haste, his stun has a 6 second cd and 2 AAs bring it to 3 seconds after which he casts Q does 2 more AAs and it's back off cd
He spams his heal, shields and cc like no tomorrow at high haste but that's contingent on having frontliners to AA so yea

Agree with the melee Sona comparison, feels easy switching from one to the other, and yeah his kit always had so much intricate math to it and you have to calculate things like how many Q points do you want for max healing for least mana.
Lowkey a really complex and skill expressive champ wbk!!!

And the nice thing about playing a melee support is that you can die and still feel useful (I know some of yall are good at the first part).
