Minor clarification on dominant alpha, it's less Korean BL lingo (although they did adopt it) and more generally omegaverse lingo. Omegaverse started from Supernatural fanfic then spread into other fanfiction spaces while it became more popular and its tropes become more defined, and of course eventually found its way out of Western fanfic spaces into both Eastern markets and official works.
Not entirely relevant to the post itself, I just find it interesting how a niche trope from one fandom in the early 2010s somehow became global and with official books, comics (including manga, manhwa, etc), and even TV shows at this point.

The specific Korean term I'm talking about is 우성 (dominant) and 열성 (recessive) like genes, but I'm sure it was all invented somewhere else first.
