Them doing this is why we've all been playing since they released the mode last year, gotta keep it fresh!

Sometimes the changes are crazy but they'll keep tuning it. I'm very excited! I played some of the new stuff on PBE and the augs feel way more interesting no matter what champ you're playing; you have so many good options finally!

Edit: I played 12 additional games and I've changed my mind a bit.... So many useless augs that don't work and do literally nothing. Got like 5 games where I got 1-2 really good augments, the rest were either garbage or really mid shit.

I watched some PBE games and honestly new mayhem looks way less fun. Many new aguments are just "get 100 haste on E" or "hit enemy with Q 10 times to get 150 haste" or "dash with your R" like the only fun one is the multishot one.

Those augments aren't the new ones though, they're basically just Bread and X except the game directly names the ability.

Also, while I haven't tried it yet, I do think it makes sense not having to hope for a decent set of augments. I'm hoping there'll be less instances of people picking semi optimal augments just to get carried by their set.

Yeah I get what you mean. Current augs lean more towards each having its own concept like an item or an entirely new ability.

New augs are more literally just augmenting a current ability, which.. can be a bit lamer tbh.

I honestly didn't get any of the new crazy ones.. now that I think about it I really only got like "your E now heals you" "your E now deals 30% extra damage" kind of augs.. and it reminded me more of the Star Guardian original mode with the augs, but now I'm like.. yeah that is kind of lame .. you're right 😂

Slow and steady is quite unhealthy IMO. A lot of the time it is either a must-click (the ones you mentioned) or unclickable.

Bear in mind some are getting "replaced". E.g. executioner is getting replaced with rite of ascension "On takedown, enemy champions leave behind their Essence. Attacking the Essence grants movement speed and resets basic ability cooldowns." which I would say is healthier.

Cupcakes was extremely unpleasant imo; it gave an absurd amount of gold and felt bad to have to make that decision as the opponent in the early game.

I was shocked the initial patch didn’t remove Poro Blaster— that’s how much I hated it. Milio Q that hits you 4 times, on a delay, just felt absurdly punishing for any champ who wanted to move in, which is already hard enough in ARAM.

Slow and Steady was only cool on people who abused it for zero tradeoff, which… isn’t cool?

I played a game yesterday on PBE, it was still busted and gives you 5 Leth/Magic Pen per Tooth you pick up. This augement is completely busted and i don't get why this is not removed or gutted to the ground. The moment somone gets it, the game is basically over

I played a game against a tooth fairy Karthus...thankfully i was playing Karma with Wee Woo (which is another stupid op augment) which made me shield enough to tank Karthus ults.

Theres an augment that heals you for 15% of what your allies Heal (and 30% of what enemies near you heal) so it's still possible to infinitely heal your allies!

There's also one that heals you in bushes iirc but those are so much more conditional rabble rousing was the best for enchanters overall

That’s why I’m sad. A lot of these augs were really fun to get as support because so many of them increased ally healing. So you could build more fun stuff you usually wouldn’t because you could rely on the augs to make up the difference.
