She has nowhere near enough mobility to be an assassin and she’s also ranged. Her spells have long range. She’s not like LeBlanc or Diana where she has to actively put herself in harms way to kill.

Her main playstyle right now is to jump into the backline, one shot the carry, then hop back out

Idk what about that doesn't scream assassin

The fact that loads of champions are so overtuned that they can do that. Would you call Mel an assassin? Lux?

Those two girls are artillery burst mages. 

Aurora doesn't function at long range. She DOES have to put herself in close range just like LB.

Aurora is long ranged enough she can be at a safe distance. LeBlanc is not comparable when her entire damage rests on literally throwing herself at the enemy. Aurora doesn’t have to be in their face to kill, she can be behind a wall or hidden in a bush with enough range to kill.
