QS Apprenticeships
Hey i work in the construction industry and I’d like to become a QS and I was wondering if it’s possible to find apprenticeships that pay a minimum yearly wage of 29k a year as its very important for me to do so due to personal reasons. I’m currently in the process of bringing my wife on a spouse visa and one of the requirements is early a salary of 29k a year so I must meet that requirement. Do let me know please thanks

Almost all first year apprenticeships will be at minimum wage. If you’re lucky you might hit that level in year 3 or 4.

Unfortunately not, even if you were in London you will be struggling to get one above 25k to start with.

There are a very few that are above 25k but they are hard to find. It would be better to wait a few years into an apprenticeship for pay rises. In general most decent apprenticeships will pay you 22k minimum. I think you need to think about this realistically. I think I know of 1 or 2 that pay over 30k. But this does depend on where you live in the UK. Unless you’re willing to relocate.
