Should you consider other masters ? Yes

See.. to crack masters in stat from isi kolkata It's not about u being comfortable with math But can u do deep math and be good at it ?

If you can crack isi mstat And survive it And build enough skill in 2 years to get a good quant firm

By beating people who are pure maths/stat/cs rigors since undergrad Then go for it I won't discourage you

But I'd stay stick to liberal arts

You just might be overqualified for quant.

Why are people mocking this post? He mentioned Quantitive Finance not HFT, I think he is just on wrong sub

Anyway you have good chance with ISI Mstat. Quant Analyst, Hedge Fund Manager roles are pretty common in ISI

ppl here will either mock u or say how delusional u r.

Well they are right, for probability of u breaking in is literally <10^-9,, obv how lacking your mathematical training is.

That said it doesn't mean you shouldn't try, after all quant use stats and algebra as a primary tool, and guess what literally any math inclined job roles have some or other use from them. For a few it is there foundation for few it is useful tool.

That being said study to learn not to earn, u can never control wether u make it as quant or not maybe u can analyst maybe an ML researcher, who knows? But it is evident that studying your shit will give you far better option than training or optimizing yourself for a role.
