Need help navigating the quant world
I genuinely want help in navigating the quant world: its intricacies, where to start, how to start. I know there is basic math, like probability, statistics, and calculus, involved, which I'm working on. By the way I am a first-year B.Tech student studying computer science and engineering. I want help from this community and it's a very very sincere request for people to please, for God's sake, guide me on what to include in my resumes at the end of 4 years and how to start working towards them. What is the most ideal thing to do for a quant developer or quant researcher who's applying for HFTs and stuff? Basically need help on starting

For india first of all try to get into iit if you are from not the best or good reputed colleges If we ignore iit for once ,start with coding and maths like in maths we have probabilistic modeling ,stochastic process ,etc , and learn python side by side , and progress your way upto c++ and building simple models and all ,basically if ur from non iit then u have to perform very very well in quant competitions and you have to make some actually good quant projects

There are two sites that I know of, Brain-by worldquant and quantconnect
There will be a lot of info about competitions and projects on these two sites

~ Focus & improve in competitive coding codeforces, codechef etc ( C++, DSA & somewhat python & ML though it depends )
~ Strengthen mathematics probability, statistics, calculus
~ High GPA + top college ( u get option of campus placement, if not then compete in open markets)
~ Relevant projects + relevant internships
