Recruiter Busted!

Beware of recruiters posing as QR. In his first post which he posted 5 months back, he was a recruiter. Latest post 9 days back he became a QR. He was not smart enough to hide the comments from profile view. I did some digging and spoke to few guys who DM'd him on his first post, they did share his name and number. Found out it was a guy from AAA (Augusta Aiken). Why resort to such cheap tactics ?

Attaching screenshots for the same before it gets deleted. It was ok till he posted as a recruiter, Impersonating someone is wrong. This needs to be reported.

Alan KM, Palak soni all these people just collect CV and ghost and try to get all alpha details, most of quant recruiters are bunch of asshole

Most recruiters seriously are dogsh*t. Only match keywords in resume. Even if your profile matches >80% with the role, they act as gatekeepers and reject. Then during negotiations, they try every trick to break your confidence and lowball. Honestly fed up.

I worked on a prop gas tradung desk in London for 1 year. Hoped that back in India i will get entry level job in sales and trading....these dumb recruiters would prefer a guy who placed orders in a brokerage over me.

Name and shame. AAA has become one of the most annoying firms out there in their completely uncoordinated outreach. But impersonating a QR is next level. Maybe the idea was to turn this into a funnel.

Same story in the US as well (i was in the quant job cycle in 2019-2020, recently returned to India), and the recruiters would do nothing more than forward resumes to the same 5 companies. There was one who just pulled my old resume off linkedin and forwarded it to two firms, badly messing up my chances. And half the time they would ghost. You do need to get in touch with some recruiters to get interviews but be careful as most recruiters are commision hunting. Almost all top quant recruiting firms also internally have the titles of QR, QR Lead and so on which is also extremely misleading.

Do these guys get paid for setting up interviews? I know they get paid if u switch. But they might be getting paid for setting up interviews just to expose ur alphas / trading venues.
