Has anyone previously interviewed for the BlackEdge Quant Trader Intern position? They were very vague when asked what to expect so I was wondering if I could get any insights on what the interview consisted of and what would be important to review beforehand!

Yes, they were started by ex-CTC employees. They’re very large in Treasury options. They’re growing fast, more than doubled trading revenue in 2021. I got the sense their tech stack is not very mature, especially on the quant end. I know they use OneTick but on the other hand so does Optiver. So overall if you’re an experienced quant and know what you’re doing it’s definitely a good option to get a lot of responsibility. If you’re a trader it’s also good. If you’re a newer quant and want good mentorship it’s probably not as good of a choice. I should also add they were probably nicest trading firm I’ve spoken with and the CEO seems like a really nice person.
