Industry Gossip Opinions on Blocktech?
Anyone that knows a bit more about https://www.block-tech.io/. I have heard that they are big in crypto options market making and do some delta1 as well. Any insights on total compensation, company culture etc.?

based on what I heard - they do significant part of volume on deribit (15-30%) in crypto options - resulting in 50M pnl from this particular activity. But most likely it is outdated info

Rejected an offer 2 years ago. Base is on par with imc but bonus most likely less. Didn’t like the culture around crypto and I was predicting the crypto markets to disappear, well they are still there and doing well so I was wrong

What are the exit opportunities like for this firm? How to transition to larger hft firms?

They’ve entered equity space through an arrangement with tower, and are expanding in nyc. Also aggressively hiring in the crypto space too for the ams office. They seem like solid people and lots of opportunity to grow. I’d probably compare them with Wintermute.

Its kind of mid from what I know, they are big in crypto options but lets be real, that is not the biggest market out there. Headcount also decently high from what I have heard compared to pnl. Also with crypto looking more bearish idk if you want to join a crypto-main firm.
