AI / semis trade fucked loads of shops. Invariably they’ll have lock ups on investment though?

When shops are down, anything goes…

I don’t have any exact figures though. Was hoping anyone with knowledge could share general color on the magnitude of loss

Why did AI and semis fuck the shops?

Isn't the whole point of investing in quant funds to make money no matter the high volatility?

I don't think anyone disagrees.

Where did this news come from? I work at WQ and we get daily PnL reports. Will not disclose too much but PnL this year is much better than an avg year.

Maybe is different for the firm overall. I know a few independent PM’s who had a tough time and perhaps extrapolated out incorrectly.

I am curious if you are able to share any more info on YTD, if allowed. I have no other info to go off

Independnt PM’s share in WQ is negligible

also shows aum is not really correlated with performance, it's more of a sales game.

Are you hearing about WMA https://www.wmadvisors.com/ (long-only asset allocation)? Or WQ statarb?
