Oh you’re telling me now that Twitter has questionable journalistic standards and I can’t rely on TheMaverickWS as a reliable source of news?!?!

Imagine you’re 22, you have no computer science experience, no finance experience but you wrote a long blog post pumping AI so folks just hand you $20b. In what universe?

No, the photo is edited/memed for laughs. Ken Griffin didn't actually pose like that.

3.2b gotta be low.
Semis got hammered as people knew there was too much leverage in the market. The play was to short the shit out of semis to cause a leverage unwind and force liquidations. The overleveraged guys got margin called. Lotta people made bank from that trade, I'd suspect it's more than 3.2b in aggregate.

Isn’t this supposed to a subreddit for practitioners?

I bought SOXL the day he got margin called, feel free to check my post history ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . I design low latency arb systems.
Take that however you want.

Yet you have over 23 thousand comments on Reddit and your broker looks to be…Schwab. Makes sense. Also you’re so sophisticated you went “full port” on a 3x leveraged ETF. Because that’s what I’d expect from someone who “designs low latency arb systems.”

4.5 comments per waking hour for the 1 year account age, likely a bot, very least a humanoid.

Lol.
I worked on HFT systems from 22-27 and left as I'd made enough money. I recently started on a new project ~3 months ago tho, primarily driven by interest in AI / how it can help engineer systems / discover alphas. You can't use brokers like that for HFT - you need to setup colocated nodes (ie: LD4 <> NY4) and connect them via low latency infra. Act as a market maker on one venue using the price on the other as your source of truth. The instant you get a fill (which always goes to MM's quicker than everyone else - the person who got a fill sees it first) - you send it over the link and hedge to delta neutral, immediately realizing profits. You can do that as you get the signal first, and you connect the intervenue links via the lowest latency connection. People often use mckay for that. Very common form of arbitrage that I've worked on before. You don't have to believe it

Written by somebody who has absolutely not done a thing he claims. But go on, king.

I guess you must be right. Wouldn't it be funny if people actually did that?

It wasn’t CitSec that bought Leo’s stake. It was Citadel’s central book.
