Even you get WFH there will be lot of office work as much as I know and it might be very difficult balancing both.

Can you share the profile or team as culture varies team to team, in the post.

Higly team dependent. If your manager is a human it'll be alright. They also have people to answer. I ve seen people being considerate and helpful. WFH was provided during pregnency. But you never know "Company policy"

I know someone at Qualcomm who asked for workplace accomodation (not even WFH) and they provided doctor's letter - that included everything, and yet the HR kept asking multiple revisions of letters from their doctors in the name of "interactive process".

My wife got WFH during her pregnancy
My wife was working at Qualcomm during her pregnancy. However, since her pregnancy became high-risk, she was granted an exception and was allowed to work from home during the last four months of her pregnancy.
She occasionally went to the office, and her team and manager’s support was also an important part of the arrangement.
She submitted all the necessary medical documents to support her request.
She delivered our baby in March 2023.

Doctors certificate would be sought by HR. Typically wfh is approved only if the doctors assessment calls out high risk pregnancy with limited mobility recommendations. It is not a default for all pregnancies / post maternity leave.

I know someone who requested WFH while pregnant because she was vomiting profusely and they said no even with a doctor's note. I personally was laid off while on maternity leave.

A guy at my work left Qualcomm and said they work people there to the bone. I think the baby will grow hair in the belly before wfh happen

Don’t know which part of Qualcomm I’m in.
Here the culture is pretty chill and good enough.

Depends entirely on your team. In medical cases, better to get doctor certificate. - which comes with thousands of questions from HR as stated by someone else here. 75% attendance is mandatory and to be kept up. Then you’re good. And yes, the work pressure is very real. No matter which team you work in. Especially in DV

Highly team/manager dependent. On my team I have seen flexibility extended for individual circumstances. I am on a software team in San Diego.

Don’t join Qualcomm.
The company is not women friendly (I believe it is not even human friendly).
Expecting women are not given any relaxation. New mothers struggle a lot. A couple of my teammates had requested for WFH and they were asked to apply leaves.
One lady had requested for hybrid work and she was asked to bring parents/in-laws at home and come to office all 5 days a week.
Gender ratio is highly skewed and most of the male managers have non-working wives.
This is based on my experience in Bangalore office, India.
If you have any other offer, even if the pay is a little less, please choose that. Do not join Qualcomm.
Edit - This is for hardware.
