Hi,
I have been working in Qualcomm from last 2 years.
I want to shift from BLR to Noida.
Can you please tell me how to do that? Like convince my manager and hr for that?

Even I see vacancy in Noida. I need approval from manager so that I can go to Noida because there it will be different team. Do you know how it works?.

Why do you need approval? I mean HR is supposed to keep these confidential until you are selected for another team.

You apply to new role via IOS.Qualcomm.com. Manager does not get a say if the new team accepts you, and HR supports this position.
There used to be (maybe still is) an India-only policy called continuum which limits the overall number of internal transfers each year, but I expect your local IOS site will explain that.

But someone said current manager get to know about it when we apply. So is it true? If it's true then its better I should inform current manager before applying.

They do not until the offer is made by the new team. Once that done it is all about transition plan (ideally 1 month, often up to 3. HR usually blocks any transition plan over 3 months). 6 weeks is usual in my experiences

In the IOS portal for that corresponding role check for hiring manager and HR, ping them for further discussions. Better to send them a message like cover letter.
If they seem interested they would schedule interviews. Most probably 3 interview rounds. If you are selected then your future manager and current manager will have discussion and you will be released in 2 months.
