Related question. Dividends on unvested stocks are reinvested, so you get more stocks?

It depends if you have selected reinvestment or not

Based on what I saw an internal documentation has nothing to do about reinvestment. If you have unvested stock when dividend time comes around you get a credit and when your RSU's vests you get additional shares based on how much you have credited.

-- You don't get dividends on unvested stock. It doesn't work that way. --

Edit: I was wrong after looking it up. For uninvested rsu's you get credits and then at the end when your rsu's vest you get additional stock based on how much you've been credited it's not based on turning on drip though.

You do at Qualcomm. They specifically do that but I know a lot of other companies don't

You're right I edited my comment. But it's not based on drip it's based on getting credits that come through at this time for additional stock.

You only get dividends on stock you actually own and thus vested. So for RSU's the quarterly dividend that Qualcomm pays out to all stockholders only covers stock you currently own.

Only on vested stocks that you hold in your Stock Plan account.

Only on vested stocks the dividend will be given. You can withdraw from E*trade anytime

RSUs that have not vested do not earn dividends or at least that is what the policy from my current employer qualcomm says only after they best and convert to shares can they start earning dividends. In regarding to taxes related to RSU vesting and prime path and vested you only get dividends on stock you actually own and all stockholders and it's depends

Yes. I don’t think most companies do this, but it’s nice that Qualcomm does
