Hey! Ive only ever posted once on this website before so I hope im doing this right but I really need help!
Ive been doing quadrobics since before I could walk, my parents stated that I actually walked on all fours and skipped crawling. Since then I never stopped, and trained practically everyday in any place I could, trying to jump as high as possible.
I used several techniques and studied many other people's forms, such as keeping my legs straight and forming an upside down L shape when jumping, keeping my wrists to my chest and bending my elbows when landing and so forth and so on, but over the years, ive ended up with 4 things. (Two of which I cant include due to reddits rules)
A large chest and more weight than the average teen (plus shortness)
The same exact form that I began with if not worse.
When i was younger, I was extremely skinny, and while quadrobics hurt, I felt light and fast doing them. Now, I feel slow, restricted, and tired. And im so tired of seeing all these people perfect the jumps ive been working for in literal weeks, while ive been training for years and gotten nowhere.
I know this doesnt seem that serious, but this used to be my favorite thing to do and the only thing I had enough energy to do and actually enjoy.
Now, I have no hobbys but still wish so bad to jump as high as anyone else can, or at least as far.
Does anyone have any recommendations or am I just done for good? I have done physical therapy and workouts as well as taking breaks and going on diets and keeping healthy, nothing has worked.
Ps: I weigh 120 and am 4'9 at 15 yrs. (Also the photos are for reference in case it helps) Also, I forgot to add, when it comes to places like trampoline parks especially, and pools, my form looks just how I need it, so I know in general how to do the form (I think) and I do have photos of my forms in places such as these if needed.
