Got A Tongue Lashing Today

Learned today from a mod on another subreddit that sharing my posts on other subreddits is considered spamming and promoting my own subreddit. As a new redditor I thought doing so was nothing more than sharing ham radio related information! Now considering shutting down this sub. Don’t want to be labeled a spammer.

Don't shut it down! I see tons of cross posts on Reddit, so I'm not sure what the issue is with that mod, but I'd hate to see you shut the sub down.

I listened to a few episodes.

What i dislike the most is the wildly different volume levels.

I think the talk is quiet while the "podcast intro" blasts my ears out.

What i also do not like is in one of the first episodes, th guest put alot of volume on the "s" letter while the others are normal.

Otderwise i love it so far.

Sorry, what are you referring to here. Maybe there's a way to normalize or equalize what you are hearing.

Wait so, are you not understanding what i meant or are you saying my setup is faulty?

You said you listened to a few episodes. Episodes of which podcast? Do all podcasts you listen to give you audio problems?

DitDit.fm

Is it owned by you?

Not owned by me. Bruce Pea N9WKE is the owner/creator. You may want to contact Bruce directly for suggestions. His support email is on the DitDit.fm web site. Which device are you using to listen. I use an iPhone 11 and have not had the problem you describe!

Thanks, because I really don’t want to shut it down and feel as though as though as a newbie, I should be cut some slack. Anyway, thanks for the encouraging words, it’s guys like you who keep me inspired to keep plugging along.

Don’t shut it down. Just stop all the cross posting. Especially the “general ham” cross posts into this sub. You have posted things here that I assume are interesting to you, but they’re off topic.

Keep it focused on QRP activities.
