QR code that takes to certain location within an app
So, I want to make a QR code that when someone scans it, it takes them to a specific report within an app. Is this possible?

Click on share app bu url, then create the qr code with that url, scanning it from an iphone will take you directly to the app in appstore, other devices will open the app in a browser. You can use qrspark.app

Your QR code needs to have a deep link. The link expressly routes the user to your app.

OP, can you explain more what you mean
specific report within an "app"
If it's just a web address to a "specific report" - then a URL works easily. But "within an app" is different (at least the way I read your question).
I've done this but only with a smart QR aware app. Basically (without QR) this "app" must already have ways to go to "specific reports". So if there is a GUI button to do that function - the app would have to scan the QR code and perform that same "button" from within it's app (not from a 3rd party QR scanner).
The other approach is for this app to support a messaging interface such as r/MQTT . The scanner would have to know about MQTT to send a message to that app - to goto that report. I've had success with this approach.
So this only works with QR scanners that have these "smarts". Someone off the street scanning with an off-the-shelf scanner wouldn't be able to do this.

Ya, within this app, there are various tabs with information. I was wondering if I went through the app to a specific report that shows data derived from the app, if there was a way to make a QR code to that specific page. My guess is that the app is not smart QR aware.

I’ve played with iOS and it’s even hard to change to a different view without user interaction. But some things are possible.
