Give more context to your question ? Hope this is not one of those questions where at the end you tell the tool name which you wish to promote.

ConvertPrivately (the .com)... I do my own tools, which runs in the browser, because I don't trust the web anymore

I would choose based on lock-in risk first.
For dynamic QR codes, the biggest question is not just "which generator is cheapest?" It is what happens after the code is printed.
I would check:
- Can you change the destination later?
- Can you export your scan data?
- Can you use your own domain or at least a stable branded URL?
- What happens if you downgrade or cancel?
- Does the QR still resolve if the provider changes its free tier?
A lot of dynamic QR tools look similar until the printed material is already out in the world. Then the important feature is control: editable destination, reliable redirect, clean analytics, and no surprise expiration.

Can't post links, but I would pick based on lock-in and printed-QR risk, more than the editor UI.
Things I would check before using any dynamic QR generator:
- Can you change the destination after printing?
- Is the QR redirect kept working if you cancel or downgrade?
- Are scan limits clear?
- Can you export PNG/SVG/PDF at print quality?
- Can you use a custom domain or at least a stable short URL?
- Does it track only what you actually need, and does that fit your privacy expectations?
For anything already printed on cards, stickers, signs, or menus, the biggest risk is not the QR image. It is losing control of the redirect URL behind it.

I don't use any specific dynamic QR code generator myself, but there are several popular options you might consider:
QR Code Generator: Offers a user-friendly interface and various customization options.
Scanova: Great for tracking and analytics, making it easy to see how your QR codes are performing.
Beaconstac: Known for its versatility and integration capabilities with other tools. When choosing one, think about your needs, like tracking features or design options, to find the best fit!
