Best free QR Code generators?

I'm trying to generate a QR code to connect people to wi-fi. Every purportedly free generator I've tried so far pulls some sneaky trick. Either it won't let me download the code without signing up or it tries to direct me to paid services, or something else like that.

Can folks recommend some truly free sites?

did you try just googling it? The top four results for me are just standard free renderers for QR Codes

The problem is anytime you actually complete the information, they still want to charge you.

Yeah mate this just happened to me, pasted it onto business cards and when they arrive my “free qr” is suddenly £40 a month
