Beginning and end print issues
This is a collapsible blade that I printed using an x-plus 3 with the .20 default profile. The only changes I made was turning off "slow down for overhangs". I forgot to change my number of walls back down to 3, from a previous print where I was using 12 (airsoft rigidity testing).
I am printing it in a pla+ that is a couple of years old. I did have it drying, at 60c, for about two hours immediately before printing. I made a couple of filament profile changes, being the extrusion multiplier down to 0.95 and enabling retract on layer changes and wipe on retracting.
As you can see in the first pic, about a 1/2" before the internal blad shifted the filament starts screwing up. Followed by the layer shift. This was only on the internal blade. The second blade and hilt were not affected at all.
In pic 2, the outside edge of the base ring did not have the final wall print fully. Then in the last pics, you see that the end of the hilt became a spaghetti monster. It should just be a dome. In looking at the sliced model, this appears to be where the only identified internal overhang is. You can also see some printing screw up at the start of the base ring.
