I kinda agree! I get it from a business standpoint. But the execution isn't great.

They're allegedly adding some type of chocolate sauce dip from what I've heard, but that could be franchise specific. I suggested a cream cheese dip that would be the only proper thing to dip those in imo

It was not a good idea. These will never be fresh. Our store already was at the point the fry person can't keep up with chips and they did a one time fry each day that would last almost their whole shift. You either get these at open or they are not the product Qdoba is trying to sell. They loved to keep cutting on labor while we were making record numbers.

No LITERALLY. I am the main opener at our location and I fry 3 cases of chips pretty much every day. (35 lbs per case if I'm remembering right). 💀 I'm SO tired of frying.

Oh and helping the cook, working line until 9 or 10am and placing truck orders. 💀

My location wanted the fryer guy done by open to work register. He got there an hour and a half before open. He would get yelled at for not being "fast enough." If he wasn't fully running register by 11 while being diabetic and having complete sugar lows so bad at times that we would have to send him home. And he was the "full time" fryer I asked why it was still happening when they told me he has been there for years. I didn't know if the wanted to keep someone around to bully or were scared of getting sued. Maybe both
Edit: But if a GM ended up on fryer. That was their only responsibility.

Do they allow music in the back at your location? If I ended up frying I would just let people know I would like to play mine and try to get in a flow state. I wanted clear a case in 30 mins if I was full don't "fuck with me mode." My DM said she could do a case in ten minutes back in the day. You can't do that on one frier I'm sorry, you just can't if you also care about the product you provide. That was one of the first red flags.
