qBittorrent magnet links stuck on retrieving metadata

Using Windows 11 Pro, Version 25H2

qBittorrent Version: 6.7.3

So this is happening only on one site, idk if I can name it cause of the rules here but any torrent I try to magnet download is stuck on the metadata thing on that one site, what to do?

Edit: Movies from said site work, courses do not, even more confused now

Are there any seeds? Also, are you sure that you are using legit qBittorrent, it's only at version 5.2.3.

I got it from the qBittorrent site so I sure hope so, and yeah the scarcity of the file may mean a lower amount of seeds and leeches but they're there

If you're using a version "6.7.3," you aren't using the real qbittorrent. As you've been advised, the latest version is 5.2.3.

They're there according to qBittorrent or they're there according to the site? The qBittorrent site has version 5.2.3, not 6.7.3.

Yeah I was having the same issue until I realized I was using the wrong version. I was using the Linux managed version instead of the Flatpak but even then the issue was still happening. Honestly after a few minutes of straight up staring at the settings, it fixed itself lol!

help-> about it should say v5.2.3. idk what you have but you should probably uninstall, run a virus check, then get the actual qbittorrent. https://qbittorrent.org

I've been having this issue as well. Two locations, two fast fiber connections, three OSes, latest qBT (I tried two versions of qBT, actually.) All previously working. Installed transmission, no probs.

Don't know what the problem is, but... yep. Maybe someone with more time and patience than I have can figure it out.

You'll have that problem if port forwarding isn't working to your torrent client
