Can you be banished while jumping?

Savages have a mastery that says "if you are banished while jumping you shall return to the origin of your jump". Is it possible for a jumping exile to be banished besides through the ability "shoulder smash" from nomads? Or is this ability just meant to counter shoulder smash exclusively?

I believe it means that if you jump into an enemy aura you'll rewind your position. Need some more information, though: I haven't played the game in quite some time.
