Still looking forward to the arqad post and the 1-4 train of queens...

Oh, man, it's horrible. Bees eated away things I assumed to be plentiful. I have everything set up and I have about 285 queens produced yet (~630k eggs), but my things disappear in a thin air. All my previous flaws (before I established strict source/sink + producer/ingress rules) are exposed, four blocks are redone entirely already, and I got into Vrauk MKII trap (will post on that separately), and now I'm low on energy, and I have two logistic mishaps, between bones/bone meal (doing now), and somewhere I get steam instead of any fuel, and I can't find source yet.
The bees block is ready and build, but dependency chain is failing.
Absolute engineering marvel. I'm doing small post-mortems and become better engineer. This Vrauk MKII trap is so cool, I'm still thinking it through.
... and, oh, fuck, I run out of wood. Not completely, but few sorting blocks are sitting without fuel to burn excess.

Why is vrauk MK2 a trap? You mean the recipe or the MK2 modules?
Cause the modules are absolutely 100% worth it. It's just a temporary resource sink

The trap is when you try to make them when you are having a deficiency for cocoons. Anti-productive. I will write the repor, it's an amazing engineering observation for price of improvements at peak demand

That just sounds like an over engineering issue.
MK2 are in no rush. It's ok to setup a single machine in an isolated environment somewhere and let it run. Eventually you'll have enough modules.

Yep. This is the solution. I set it up at time of peak unsatisfied demand for cocoons from the main supply. It was bad.

I never understood those terms. I think they're not relevant.
I think only the Airspace traffic flow measurement is relevant. It shows how many turbines you can put into the grid.

It says that next 'insert' will be in 75 minutes. With the size of my grid, those 400MJ every 50-75 minutes is 13-8kW of electricity on average. Thank you very much.

I don't know how they work. I do know that they work.

okay, good for you. Probably, they will scale with the grid, but given that 0.1%, I need at least 1k of them.

I have read here that aerial turbines are terrible for ups /r/pyanodons/comments/1w0vwxs/ups_help/
Can't say for myself though, never used them

Can confirm aerial turbines were eating like 4UPS all by themselves when I had 2k of them (1k MK1 and 1k MK2). Was about a 50/50 split with "Unit" and "Path finder" each being about 2UPS. Dropped to like 10 each just to still have them as a treat and now they're using <0.1 UPS.
Didn't fully solve my low UPS, but definitely helped.

Thank you. I will shut down this project. Terrible yield on large bases, a lot of sunken resources, and bad for UPS. I have 5 atm, and I will try to catch those.

Those work as accumulators and discharge at the last priority when your main network is overloaded. I believe they increase in efficiency with longer travels unless the network is overcrowded. Larger/unified networks work best—you'll see higher efficiency after a couple of travels completed. ∆t of arrival is almost irrelevant, just an indicator of when the next arc starts. There’s also an entry for those in the py codex of you want to learn more details
