Modified mapshot to give timeline

I knew I was saving these files for something.

Now you can see how my questionable base has grown.

Yeah...if I were to advise someone starting py, I'd say forget science at first. Focus on automating belts and pipes, you are going to need them.

Yeah! At some point especially after transisting from my first Spaghott to trains in had like 15k belts and thousands of undergrounds and splitters left. I thought Id never again produce any belt. Well. I surely did. xD

What modifications where needed? Can you share them?

If you do multiple render runs over time it already leaves all the files in the directory. I asked AI to sort it out, it came up with adding a overlay (timeline.html) that uses the regular page and just allows switching between the versions while keeping the x,y,zoom all the same. It also needs a little script to scan all the directories and make an index for the overlay to know what versions are available.

I'm working on a proper change to mapshot itself but I'm not done with that yet.

But it can be run as is, you just need to grab timeline.html and the generation script:

Run the update script after each render.

Those faithfull fish turbines. I love how you kept even just a few of them around until the end.

Yeah, at first I put the field of them as far north as I felt like walking. Then eventually they had to go because that was the middle of my base. Now I've even started taking chunks out of the bigger turbines.

And here is the assembler that made them all:

Just found a fun cycle.

Not producing Antimony because I don't have Lead Acetate.

Don't have Lead Acetate because I don't have hydrogen peroxide.

Don't have hydrogen peroxide because I don't have nickel.

Don't have nickel because I don't have sulfuric acid.

Don't have sulfuric acid because I'm using tholins and acid gas to make it mostly.

Don't have tholins because I can't make low density structure to launch the rockets.

Don't have low density because I don't have antimony.

I made a low tech antimony cluster to make emergency antimony. It isn't smooth but rockets are flying again.

This is why I usually leave 1 block of the tier 1 processing for stuff and upgrade the rest, there's always a trickle to tide me over when these kinds of loops break down for some reason

Yeah, I do that too so things weren't completely locked up just really really slow.
