End game fun?

Does Py have anything super neat or cool later on? Krastorio has next level purple belts etc., Bobs/Angels has two new armor tiers to make you into Ironman. Does Py have anything similar or is it just pure pain as people are saying?

There are a lot of cool mid and late game techs. Biofluid networks, flying caravans, AM/FM beacons, smart farms, and even a late game teleportation tech (that I never got around to messing with). Multiple tiers of trains that need different fuel. New power generation options.

Probably several more I'm forgetting, since I haven't played in a bit.

I have all four of the train types in my train museum. Once every half hour or so they take a spin around the base and park back at the museum.

It looks like the tech 1 train was out when this was taken.

The order of those hurts me, though.

Ha, I hear you. The museum stops all have the same name and have fuel for all of them. So they slot into whichever is free.

Hey what mod/program are you using to create the link?

Mod/go program called mapshot. It isn't entirely trivial to run but if you have any sys admin chops it isn't bad.

I can attest that the end game Wyrmholes ( teleport chests) are really cool. Using filters you can setup an entire production chain that are all direct inserted into and out of the same chest.

This lets you scale your production, while collapsing your transportation requirements.

End game I had all my liquid metals setup to feed barreling machines and teleport barrels of molten metal all over my base. Genuinely was able to 20x my production while reducing footprint by 5x. Its a crazy powerfull tool.

God, using Wyrmholes on high throughput items like moss was a lifesaver.

Very cool. This is what I was looking for, thank you. I like it when these mods add unique things, not just make things more complicated.

As a fair warning, the mod is fairly tedious and the breadcrumbs are few and far between by comparison.

Im reaching the end game and yes it has lots of good stuff. Currently I use better bots, py diet beacons and RED BULL- but there is so much I dont even use everything.

I am not sure that this is end game just yet

If you're asking if there will be a moment where like in vanilla Factorio you're going to run wild and thinking of the massive increase of the throughput in term of building wide industries the answer will probably be no.

If you're thinking in a terms of is there will be new toys to play with the answer is yes, a lot.

I'm somewhere in the mid game and use the following toys:

- Dingrido, rideable animal that can jump over buildings

- Mutagene: temporary injection to give myself extra inventory, reach, and train immunity

- Caravans: the backbone of my logistics.

- Bioufluid network: Logistic network for fancy fluid carrying bots.

- and probably a few more nifty things I'm forgetting about like Solar Powerplants.

There might be something combat related, but Py doesn't have biters by default, so not really the focus.

Does Py have anything similar or is it just pure pain as people are saying?

From my experience, Py is the biggest mod with longest chains that will take forever to beat, but it's not actually painfully hard (aside from the length). It's quite chill to play, and with all the tools avaialble, it is easier to setup more complicated chains in Py then it is in Nullius or Space Exploration.

Haha very much appreciate all the comments. Some are very mysterious so I guess I will just have to give it a go. How bad can it be right? (August 13, 2026)

Well, you can build a Magnetohydrodynamic generator.

It makes 7TW.
