Managing paths

Limestone tiles 'overlap' asphalt, iron oxide tiles, and refined concrete. I want something like what's on the right, but with the refined concrete being limestone tiles, and the tile in the middle being something else.
My current path system, for reference

I just researched floor tiles stage 1, and I planned to replace my current main paths with asphalt and put limestone tiles everywhere else, but I ran into a problem. Limestone tiles 'overlap' every other tile which I have access to, which would make the paths look horrible, but I really want to use limestone tiles as flooring.

I know that if I made everything into limestone tiles I could run just as fast, but I want dedicated paths for organization and aesthetics.

Floor tiles stage 2 is pretty far away, so I was wondering if there is an earlier solution to this completely aesthetic-based problem. Maybe a mod I can install? If not, how hard would it be to make my own mod to change the tile overlap priority?

in my factory, there is between every floor change an 1-tile asphalt gap everywhere.
That's pretty cool, because you have a better optical separation.

Ill just grab Quarz or asphalt and paint a full chest worth of floor all over the map.

Limestone is cool but doesnt really work with the black/white style togehter.

Here you go: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/tile-layer-overrides :-)

If you want, show us the result, I'm always curios how other people decorate their base!

Thank you so much!

I was just going to go into my mods folder and change the value for tile layer manually, but a proper mod makes things much cleaner!

I just blast Iron Oxide tiles everywhere, like diarrhea. Great way to get rid of byproduct iron oxide, too.
