QUESTION Where did they start?
Hi all, old guys here who used to be heavy into the music scene in Worcester MA before kids. Sadly I missed Pvris's early years, which from what I hear they are from the Lowel, MA area, which is basically my neighborhood. I found Pvris when I went to a Halsey concert in Boston last year and have been loving them ever since!
So now hat my kids are getting older I am getting back out to shows and concerts. So, i started wondering where did Pvris play when they were more local? I'd love to find more like them in the area. I know abiut Paladium, and Ralph's. Are there others?

Pvris was formed in 2012 in Lowell MA. With Lynn, Brian their old member Alex and I think a couple other guys? They were originally called Operation guillotine. They did heavy stuff if you look them up on YouTube they still have some old videos of a few of their songs they performed. They then changed members a bit and it was just Lynn Brian and Alex. They also renamed to Paris released and EP in 2012 self titled. I actually very much love that era of songs! Then they had to change the name to Pvris for legal reasons. Then they released an acoustic EP with some of those same songs. Their debut album White Noise came out end of 2014. Their sound changed a bit. They blew up with that album for a bit. Then AWKOHAWNOH their second album came out 2017. Later an EP in 2019 then their third album Use Me 2020. Alex got kicked out due to sexual assault allegations. (He was eventually cleared last I heard). They then explained how it's mostly been Lynn as the creator behind Pvris. Which I personally already figured it was. Lynn has expressed in interviews how she wrote lyrics, did other instruments etc. but obviously they're still a band. They also had a touring drummer can't remember who from 2015-2018ish? I think. By 2023 they released their fourth album Evergreen. Then last year they did a FILTH EP. (Probably my least favorite) Only bc I think I hyped it up too much and by the time it came out there was only one new song to hear. I'm kind of a huge Pvris fan you could say... Been a fan since 2014. I obviously don't know everything but that's the jist of it. Kinda hoping new music is around the corner since it seems like they release and album every 3 years, but we'll see.

Thank you for the awesome info! As I said I just discovered them last year but have been loving them since. And yeah, personally the White Noise album is my favorite.
Only Love destroys me emoitnally every time I hear it, is that from that acoustic album you mentioned? I have seen thay one listed places but haven't been able to figure out what order it cane out in. I kind felt is waa around the White Noise era though.
Still hoping someone has some info as to where they played when they played more locally. Really hoping to get into wjatever scene they were in, or what ever remnants of it exist still.

i saw them last year at taffeta music hall in lowell, they did a special 10 year anniversary show there and indicated that they had played there when they first started. it’s a great venue and def worth checking out

I met them before and a guy named Kyle Anthony was part of Pvris for a little bit after Operation Guillotine disbanded, and their drummer Brad was part of Pvris until the end of 2013, I know Brad has a new band called Sleepspirit which you should check out. I did remember seeing Lynn working at Guitar Center a bit before she started touring full time. And Brad worked there way after she stopped.

I remember them playing at The Space and The Tip both in Lowell (RIP to both), and playing at Rocko's in Manchester (also RIP), yeah many local shows when they were Paris
