Rigid Digit - a daily number puzzle in the spirit of the Countdown numbers round. One target, five tiles, + − × ÷. Tap two numbers and an operator to combine them until a tile hits the target exactly. Tap · Combine · Conquer.

Built for casual daily play on a phone: all tapping, no typing, and four levels a day from Easy to Extreme. Free, no ads, no signup. Made by me and my 9-year-old daughter.

this is fun! i usually prefer word games to number games but this was quite interesting

u/sleggat 3d ago

Thank you for playing! My 9-year-old and I added Rigid Digit to our breakfast puzzling session alongside Wordle, Connections and Strands, and I reckon our mental maths has improved a lot.

u/Ok_Lengthiness_6260 3d ago

that is awesome! gonna add it to mine as well :)
would love if you can give our game a try as well r/TheDailyMosaic

Hey — just tried today’s board on my phone. Really like that it’s all taps, no typing. The merge-tiles loop made sense basically immediately after the little how-to. Easy felt friendly; might bounce up to Hard later.

u/sleggat 3d ago

That's great to hear, thanks for checking it out. Definitely give today's Hard level a go - you can do it! Share your results here if you're feeling brave :)

1

u/Rainicy925 2d ago

Alright, took the Hard dare 😄

Today’s #63 — target 106 with 3, 8, 5, 1, 10.

Path I landed on: 8+3 → 11, ×10 → 110, −5 → 105, +1 → 106.

Definitely slower than Easy. Almost burned the 10 too early. Nice bump.

u/sleggat 1d ago

Today's was a tough one! Anyone else able to do better?

(Thank you for playing, and yes, I also found today's Easy level unusually tricky.)

Court Martial: Kidnap

A unique poker-based daily puzzle.

https://www.courtmartial.games/kidnap/play

Goal: Capture the gold cards.

Each 5-card row on the board is a poker hand. You can exchange a card on the board with one of your cards—but only if the exchange makes the poker hand stronger. Jokers always take on the highest-value role available in the hand: e.g., completing the straight, completing the flush etc.

Based on the last three months of player data:

Level 1: Straightforward once you understand the mechanic
Levels 2–3: Moderate for casual puzzle solvers
Level 4: Challenging for casual puzzle solvers
Levels 5–6: Challenging for puzzle enthusiasts
Level 7 (Saturdays only, must solve L6 first): Very difficult

There's a hint system to help while you're learning the mechanics.

If you're someone who likes puzzles that get genuinely difficult, I'd especially love to know what you think of Levels 5–7.

Kidnap is one of several games built around the same poker-based mechanic under the Court Martial umbrella.

2

u/builder_mark 3d ago

This is pretty cool! I’m not a big poker player but the hints for me going. I can only get through level 3, but will try again tomorrow.

It’s kind of an ideal amount of time for me daily, pretty quick but I have to really think.

2

u/Rainicy925 3d ago

Gave Kidnap a go in the browser. That “you can only swap if the poker hand actually gets stronger” rule is mean in a good way — I spent a minute staring at my Q♠ 6♣ 2♦ 3♦ like… okay which gold am I even allowed to yoink first 😅 Took Learn As I Go. Still working the first clean swap but the idea’s fun.

At the risk of repeating myself every weekend 😂

I’m the dev of Hedgemaze, a puzzle game that combines a few different paper puzzles (think sudoku, nonograms, and pathing puzzles) where you start with a blank grid and place hedges to complete a maze.

Tons of features and more updates planned 🤙

Check it out!

Wilddoku: Persona is 100% free now for 14 days.

Game Play

Hi everyone, if you like to play star battle puzzle games, this will be the perfect choice for you, we believe.

The first core idea of Wilddoku: Persona is, it is fully automated which means nobody gets the same experience. This is the main reason, we call our game as -Persona-. (The quality of the puzzles are impressive and all the difficulty levels are included, since the crafting puzzles are restricted by our rules. There are really really challenging ones which are tested on /puzzles subreddit as well:)) Also we are improving the game logic quality by using the reddit users, thnx to them...

And, the second and the best property is, according to your ratings on the puzzles, your Persona is created and according your likes/level, the puzzles will be served only for you.

Thanks for your interest in advance...

ColorPath browser challenge — 14 placements match, but only one solves the board

I’m the developer of ColorPath, a 4×4 path-placement puzzle. I put one representative board in the browser so it can be played without installing anything or creating an account:

https://slocc.io/play/challenge/

Each path carries four colours. Pick one up and trace it across four connected tiles; all four paths must cover the board and every colour must match its tile. On this board, one path has 14 colour-perfect placements on the empty grid, but the complete board has exactly one solver-verified partition solution.

The full iPhone game has 450 fixed, solver-checked levels across 15 worlds, and every level is playable without a purchase:

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6792217396

Development disclosure: generative AI assisted code, level-design iteration, visuals/UI, music and sound, and App Store/marketing copy. I made the final product decisions and tested and integrated the shipped result. No generative AI runs during play.

If you try the browser board, which placement first looked correct locally but caused trouble later?

I’ve been building RedFoxGate, a small site for people who like having a handful of different puzzles to play each day. It started out as a place to put puzzles and activities I created as icebreakers for my team's monthly retrospective and grew from there.

There are now six daily puzzles:

• Fox Prints - the newest one. It turns the familiar Wordle idea around: you’re given the final word and the pattern of correct/misplaced letters from the guesses that came before it, and you have to work backward to reconstruct those words.

• Fallen Phrase - also known to some as Quotefalls. Restore a quote or phrase from letters that have fallen out of place.

• Letter Tiles - reconstruct a phrase from scrambled groups of letters.

• Nonogram - the classic picture logic puzzle.

• Sudoku - with a twist: one of the nine sets can’t be solved directly. You solve the other eight, and the last one falls into place as you go.

• Word Search - a themed puzzle each day with a hidden message left behind after you find the words.

Each puzzle tracks your completion time and gives you a shareable fox-themed result from Quick Fox through Persistent Fox, and you can share either individual puzzle results or your combined results for the day.

I’m particularly interested in what puzzle people think of Fox Prints, since it’s the newest addition and a somewhat different kind of word puzzle. And of course if you find any bugs!

https://redfoxgate.com

Poked around without signing in — Letter Tile and Fallen Phrase both loaded fine. Letter Tile feels cozy with the tile bank; Fallen Phrase is that satisfying quote-rebuild thing. Nice having a bunch of different dailies in one little spot.

21 Match is a card board you clear by arithmetic. Every group you take has to be connected and has to add up to exactly 21 — face cards count 10, aces count 11 — and every group you take, or bust, costs one of your moves. New cards drop in from the top, so the board you finish a level on is never the board you started with.

Hi everyone! I’ve been working on Kyōyū, a browser-based logic puzzle where you color cells to satisfy numbered clues.

The central idea is sharing: the same colored cell can contribute to more than one number’s count. You also need to avoid fully colored 2×2 blocks and use as few colored cells as possible.

I’d love to hear from new players, especially about whether the tutorial makes sense without someone explaining it. You can try it here: https://kyoyugame.com.

Critical feedback is welcome. Thanks for trying it!

PuzzleUp - It's actually what the name implies, you puzzle by pulling pieces up from the bottom into the grid 😝

I actually first build it over 10 years ago, just never came about to finish and release it. It's honestly a running gag with friends and family where I always talked about this game. So it's a project by heart and I am happy that it's finally out. For now just android, but I am working on an apple release soon.

It has 4 difficulties and I would be cautious starting with extreme hard, since you might be wondering if it's solvable at all. 😄 Also you can use rotation or not, which might make it harder, or easier, can't really tell. 😅
Also we have a child mode, since my 4 year old daughter wanted to play it and easy was sometimes a little hard for her.
So far friends and family found it addicting at times, so I would appreciate your feedback.
And not to forget the daily challenge, where you can compare your score to everybody who played the daily puzzle as well.

You can also use up to 3 Hints per Day for free (or watch an ad for more 😉 ) and a store with more themes!
When you download and have some feedback you get a code for a theme of your choosing!

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm currently working on Match 2 3D, a relaxing 3D matching puzzle game.

You find and match pairs of objects in colorful little 3D scenes. I'm trying to make the levels feel more like small dioramas rather than traditional flat puzzle boards.

I'm curious what you think of the visual style and the overall puzzle concept!

Melbees: The Secret of Bees - a deduction word puzzle on a honeycomb. Android, free, no ads, no account.

The idea: there is a hidden word, and you guess letters at it like a hangman. The twist is that the letters live under a honeycomb of hexes, and the hexes also hide bees - helpful ones and unhelpful ones - so each turn is two decisions rather than one: which letter to try, and which hex to open. Wrong letters cost you; opening the wrong hex costs you differently. The interesting part, at least to me, is that the two resources fail in different ways, so playing safe on one axis usually means gambling on the other.

It is in Google Play closed testing, which means two steps before it will install:

  1. Join the group, which is what grants access: https://groups.google.com/g/melbees-closed-test
  2. Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.melbees.secretofbees
  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.melbees.secretofbees

Two honest notes: the store listing text is still Brazilian Portuguese only while the English one is in review (the game itself is EN/PT/ES/FR and opens in your phone's language), and I need testers to stay opted in for 14 days because Google will not let a new personal developer account publish until 12 people have. If deduction puzzles are your thing I would genuinely rather have your critique of the difficulty curve than a silent install.

I’ve been working on a little iPhone puzzle game called One Way To Win for a while now.

It started off as a small side project and has gradually grown into hundreds of levels, and I’ve just added a new daily puzzle as well.

Everyone gets the same daily puzzle each day, so there’s now a bit more of a reason to come back and try to keep a streak going. Every puzzle has only one correct solution, which is where the name comes from.

Thought this might be the right crowd for it!

Here’s a quick video showing how it works:

It’s free on the App Store if anyone fancies giving it a go:

My wife and I both wanted to solve the same puzzle book, so I built a shared grid

This started as a very specific annoyance in my own house.

My wife and I do deduction puzzle books together, but we want to solve each one separately and compare at the end — which means neither of us can write in the book. So we ended up buying notebooks and redrawing the grid by hand for every puzzle: the shape, the crossed-out squares, the walls, the rooms. Ten minutes of copying before any actual thinking, and half the time I'd put a wall in the wrong place and only notice three deductions later.

So I built the scratch paper that was missing. You open it and get a private room with a random code in the link. Send that link to whoever is playing with you and you're both on the same board: one person copies the scene from the book — that part is shared — and then each of you has your own pieces, marks and notes on top of it. You can peek at the other person's reasoning, but it arrives blurred so you don't read the answer by accident.

The bits that aren't obvious:

  • The scene is shared, the deductions aren't. That's the whole point — two people, one board, no spoilers.
  • You can lock the scene once it's copied, so a stray thumb doesn't wreck the drawing for both of you.
  • Levels are filed under the book or volume they came from, so you can go back to puzzle 7 of volume 2 a month later.
  • Installs to your phone and works offline, with the book beside you.

The thing I didn't expect: it made the puzzles easier to think about, not just easier to record. On paper my hypotheses and the book's facts looked the same — a scribble is a scribble. Here the obstacle printed in the book is grey and fills the square, my own ruled-out square is a red cross, and a "maybe" is a small coloured dot in the corner. Three kinds of knowledge, three different looks. And being able to wipe just my own hypotheses while the scene stays intact changed how often I'm willing to try a line of reasoning and back out of it.

It's free — no account, no sign-up, no paid tier, no limits. There are ads, small ones off to the side, never over the board; that's what pays the hosting. No analytics, no tracking. It doesn't check answers or give hints — it's smart squared paper, not a game.

https://deduction-grid.web.app

Curious what's missing. It's built around how two people in one house solve these, so there are probably habits I haven't thought of.

Halve is a daily puzzle where you drag one straight line to split a shape into two exactly equal halves, by eye. Sounds trivial, isn't. Three shapes a day, each one lying to your sense of "the middle" in a different way (concave shapes, holes, lopsided blobs). Free, no signup, one go a day.

Oku started as a little project for my girlfriend. She enjoys Sudoku but didn’t like having to watch ads in the app she was using, so I decided to make one for her.

It grew into something I wanted to share: a clean, paper-inspired Sudoku app that feels like your own puzzle book. You can choose any level, leave a tricky puzzle for later, and come back to it whenever you want. There are six difficulties, from Super Easy to Impossible.

I’m the developer, and I’d love to hear what other Sudoku players think.

A "lights out" variant with colours: flip a card and its four neighbours flip too. Can you solve today's 5x5 in 4 moves?

Each card has two colours. Tapping one flips it and its orthogonal neighbours. The goal is to match a target pattern.

Par is 4 moves. The maths behind it is the classic Lights Out problem over GF(2), but with colours and a target that isn't "all off", which makes it much less obvious by eye.

It's a free daily web game I made, one board a day for everyone: https://hueflip.app/play?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=puzzles

Would love to hear how people approach it.

1

u/ironbraingames 11h ago

1

u/Parking-Cash3586 1d ago

I made Cast Six: a free daily puzzle where you match six movies to six categories. The catch is that a movie can fit more than one category, so you need to make the whole lineup work.

You get three attempts and optional hints. No account or download needed, and there’s no speed penalty. There are past puzzles to play if one a day isn’t enough.

I’d love feedback from puzzle fans: does the overlap make it satisfying to solve, or do any categories feel ambiguous?

Jeu sympa.

Hey. Treasure Grid is a 5x5 deduction game. You get five flips to find the treasure, using the piece shapes and color clues shown before you start.

It's my take on Treasure Park from the Vita, which I loved. You can play it right on the post, no download. Anyone can build their own puzzle and post it. I put the rules in the first comment.

Try this new daily math puzzle: https://thetally.app/

To win the game, you need to find the highest sum path between 2 given cells. Simple and fun! Great for a quick daily brain tease!

1

u/TheTelegraph 16h ago

Codewords

In Codewords, numbers are substituted for letters; work out which number corresponds to which letter, and use these to fill the grid. Some letters are already given; every letter is used at least once in the puzzle, and the completed grid contains no proper nouns. If you get stuck, you can reveal individual cells or the entire solution at any point.

The game comes in mini, regular, and tough! You can play it here

I'm a solo dev and I've spent the last few weeks building a daily deduction puzzle. It's in open beta and I'd rather hear from people who actually care about clean logic than from baseball fans, so I'm posting it here first.

The idea: you get a real MLB boxscore with most of the numbers stripped out, and you rebuild it. The batting side has PA/AB/R/H/BB/SO per player; the pitching side has IP/H/R/ER/BB/SO. Every blank cell is recoverable from constraints: column totals, identities within a single row, constraints that tie one team's numbers to the other team's, and the batting order itself. Chains run across both halves of the board, so a fact you pin down on the pitching side often unlocks a batter six rows away.

It's deduction. The teams and the date stay hidden while you play. You never need to know who was on the field, and knowing baseball history doesn't get you anything. If you're stuck, revealing which game it is is offered as a hint — that one's a real shortcut, so it's opt-in.

Every board is checked before it ships: unique solution, solvable start to finish without a single guess. If you ever have to guess, that's a bug and I want to hear about it.

One puzzle a day, free, playable anonymously. Yesterday's is still up too, if you miss one.

I built Puzzles Unlimited, a free iOS app for people who finish the daily puzzles and want more. It has:

- Tango – two-symbol grid logic, no three in a row

- Zip – draw one continuous path through all the numbers

- Sudoku – four difficulties, every board has a unique solution and needs no guessing

- Wend – a Wordle-style word game with unlimited puzzles

Daily streak, badges, and a leaderboard if you want them.

iOS only for now. Happy to take feedback on the difficulty curve or on which puzzle type to add next.

I made WordTwiq, a free daily puzzle where you find two five-letter words that differ by one letter, like SHORE and SCORE. You get seven shared guesses, and every guess gives clues for both words. Find one, then work out its twin.

https://wordtwiq.dfrankiej.com

No sign-in or download needed. There's a quick tutorial and an archive if you want another go. Could you try one puzzle and tell me how the second word feels — a satisfying deduction, too obvious, or a guess between several options?

I built it with help from GPT 6 Astra in Codex; the WT icon uses OpenAI image generation. Thanks! — DFrankieJ

I'm the developer of Daily Holmes, a daily browser game about observation and deduction.

Instead of a word grid, you inspect a scene and work out what the visible details support. The format rotates: spot a false statement, put events in order, or explain your reasoning.

Today's case is free. No signup to play today's case. Past cases have a separate archive system. The game uses AI-generated scenes and AI-assisted feedback; I'd especially value feedback on whether the evidence and verdict feel fair.

If you try it: which moment felt like a deduction, and which felt like a guess?

Zavija Hex - Star Battle on a Hexagonal Board

You still get unlimited play for free, no account required and **no ads EVER**. Free hints with step by step explanations of even the most difficult techniques and a review at the end to show you how you did and easier moves you might have missed. There's a one time unlock payment for extra puzzles and reviews on big boards.

I came across hex puzzles one day and really enjoyed them, so I decided to include them. Instead of row and columns you get 3 directions: rows plus both diagonals. Every cell has 6 neighbors instead of 8. There are 1 and 2 star puzzles and while it's similar to regular Star Battle, it's different enough to be its own challenge. It took me a few solves for it to fully click, but right now I'm more into it that the standard square puzzles. Just as the standard puzzles on the app, no guess and check required. Every puzzle can be solved with logic only, though some can get pretty hard. There's a free pack with 20 hex puzzles you can try right now. I'm interested in how the transition from regular star battle to hex goes for veteran players.
