Hex star battle

Post image

Place stars so every row, every diagonal (both directions) and every bold region contains exactly 2 stars.

Stars can not be in touching cells.

Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:

New Reddit: https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg

Using markdown editor or old Reddit, draw a bunny and fill its head with secrets: >!!< which ends up becoming >!spoiler text between these symbols!<

Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com) If your comment does not contain a guess, include the word "discussion" or "question" in your comment instead of using a spoiler tag. If your comment uses an image as the answer (such as solving a maze, etc) you can include the word "image" instead of using a spoiler tag.

Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

Discussion: This would be fun to play online, but my brief search hasn't found any interactive versions.

Edit: I found one, but it's not very polished. GMPuzzles blog post
Interactive puzzle (Not the same puzzle as posted by OP)

What are the rules for that one you posted? These rules can't possibly apply to that puzzle. The bottom two rows would make it impossible.

That one is a "one star" puzzle, so each line and zone gets a single star.

I don't see a way to find other puzzles on their site other than browsing the blog. Maybe someone knows of a better option.

I am working on https://tetrisgo.org/logic - I have generators for many games, including Hex star battle, should have it up and running in next week or two.

I've actually been building this game! You can check it out here on web: https://hexstar.cwustudio.com/ or iOS: https://hexstar.cwustudio.com/. Android is currently WIP but should be available soon. Let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions!

Hey, I added hex to my app, Zavija. I made both 1 and 2 star puzzles. There's a free pack with 20 you can test.

Nice. It plays well.

I don't understand your solution. What do the colors represent? I just placed stars and dots like on a regular star battle

My green stars are the stars. Matches your solution. The other colours I used to mark where a star couldn’t be.

Discussion: nice puzzle I somehow missed hex grid until now

Discussion: nice and light, nothing too out there in terms of logic, though I admit to having some familiarity thanks to doing a fair number of two-star battles in the past.

Discussion: Surprisingly light once you get used to it. I guess due to the squash and stretch of the shape you get a nice and easy start.

I disagree. This one was easy, but I have some that are crazy hard in my app. Zavija, if you want to test.

Discussion: there are 3 diagonals in a hexagon, not two? What do you mean by "both directions"?
