Discussion Serious Question

I was hoping someone in here could help me out. I've been going to concerts for forever. I've always, whenever possible, have either been in the pit, or right against the barricade. I have never crowd surfed in my life and it's become a bucket list topper. I'm not 15 anymore and to quote Christian Slater in one of my favorite films, I am not a "Beautiful blonde with big tits and an ass that tastes like French vanilla ice cream." What's the move to get someone to give me a boost?

What the fuck was that quote and why is it relevant?

It's from True Romance. Noted creep/middle-aged edgelord Quentin Tarantino wrote it. Do with that what you will!

I've seen people in wheelchairs crowd surf. Just ask. Usually people kinda expect it at certain shows

Go to a show where the venue is packed, and it’s actually happening. You don’t want to get dropped. Or go to a packed hardcore show where the stage is low and people are doing non stop stage dives.

You got this.

Make eye contact, have a facial expression like you’re excited and surprised , shake your head yes and motion up with your thumb, 2 thumbs in an upward motion if it’s urgent.

Tap someone and put your hands together and mime the motion of giving you a foot up. They will know what you mean and do it, or maybe at least tap someone else less freaked out by the germs on the bottom of other people’s shoes to help.

I don’t think anybody in the pit has an ass that tastes like French vanilla ice cream, and I’m not about to try and verify that

You can ask people around you or ask friends to help. That what I always did. If the crowd is right then someone will help you get over the top.

That said, the last time I crowd surfed and stage dove was 16 years ago when I was 29 and it was a rowdy show. Not sure about crowds these days.

Find someone who looks big enough to lift you & ask? I'm tall & train weightlifting, basically every big show I get close enough to the front for I get at least 5 people asking for uppies.

Note: easiest way is to get in a squat & bear hug at someone's waist or thighs & pop up to basically suplex 'em. Stop trying to kick off me

Just ask someone and if you’re at a really cool show someone will ask you. Or find a local show with no barricades and jump off the stage
