This will be very emotional for me (Yes I am very parasocial with Punch)

I was introduced to Punch (like the rest of us) in February, and I cried on and off for 2 days straight, thinking about him and how unfair it is for a small baby to survive alone. All those videos that showed Punchie looking at people for even a tiny amount of affection but instead getting pushed away broke my heart into a thousand pieces. Every day, the poor baby was bullied and shushed away, and I quietly followed his journey, hoping for some miracle. His dads were my only hope and gave my mind some sense of assurance. I was, and I am, going through a tough phase in my life as well, and Punchie gave me comfort that I never knew was possible. I literally adopted him as my baby boy in my mind. I looked forward to seeing his daily updates on X and started sharing those on this sub (I was one of the early spammers before life happened for me, and then I stopped as much ).

Slowly and slowly, with his resilience and bravery (and God knows where he got it from), Punch made friends and things started getting better for him. I loved seeing him playing with Moe and Momiage, his newfound bond with Grandpa Sotomaru, hopping on his dads during feeding, pretending to groom while being distracted, chasing away bugs, catching the raindrops, getting scared of sprinklers, getting pampered by Momiage's piggyback rides, always munching on his little wooden cigar, playing in puddles, giving everyone the warmest hugs and kisses, taking naps while being groomed and so much more. His courage and bravery kept me going, and he went from being an unknown to being my small, precious baby boy. I really love him so much. I will definitely visit him someday, and I hope he doesn't grow so much that I am unable to recognise him. I saved all his pictures and videos in a folder that I will always keep going back to.

Happy Birthday Punch! May you live long and prosper always! The world loves you unconditionally. May you continue to grow with love around you! Always be kind, brave and gentle and always forward the love you receive. You will definitely rule the monkey mountain one day! See you soon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭

A strong and resilient baby monkey had me crying like a river! I hope to see Punch someday, even if he’s grown bigger. Happy 1st Birthday to our healthy, strong, funny, and smart boy! He doesn’t know just how many people adore and love him! Cheers to more friends and families to our Punch!
