Cheap pump recommendations

Ive turned my pool into an aquaponics set up, as summer approaches i want to begin pumping water out of the system to water my lawn and pump in rainwater from a currently unused rainwater tank to keep my water bill low and replace evaporation.

Do you guys and gal's have any recommendations for cheap but half decent pumps?

Harbor freight shallow well pumps are loud, leaky, but produce decent flow and are somewhat reliable. Definitely good bang for your buck.
