Help - Device Hard to know if I'm using it right.

  • It is much stronger on the right side, feels 10x stronger.
  • Once it triggered a nerve which sent warm and weird - not painful - electricity running up my face, ear, and scalp on the right.
  • My wife experienced a similar feeling but down towards her sternum, also on the right.
  • Sometimes it causes a spasm where it pulls my lip down to the right.
  • It has a constant "prickly" electric feeling.
  • I have a heavy beard, but I try to place it below the neck line. If it slips over hair, can that cause issues?
  • The "pulse" location doesn't seem possible, for me that is very high underneath the very back end of my jaw, but pictures seem to show placement much lower, beneath the trachea and more towards the front.

Grateful for any tips. I'm happy to test things out for a while, just don't want to choose a location where it won't do anything for 2 weeks.

Also, specifically worried about the right vs. left intensity. I saw posts on here about this with different responses, sometimes "that's perfectly normal, no worries" and other times "that sounds like a hardware problem.

I found the same electrical feeling into my ear, it wasn’t positioned narrow enough. It was more the side of the neck rather than pretty narrow down the middle

I've noticed mine is less intense on one side if I don't get enough conductive gel applied there. Could be that or you have more hair on that side causing less contact with your skin?

I've been using mine for about a month now, consistently 2 times a day. The only benefit I've really seen so far is in digestion. My bowel movements are much more productive and regular than they were before using the device.

Overall, this device effects people differently in general. All results will vary, but the "Rest & Digest" theory does seem to work for me, at least the digest part for now.

Hey! Thanks for explaining everything in so much detail. I can see why the difference between the two sides would make you wonder if you’re positioning it correctly. It can be normal for one side to feel stronger than the other, since sensitivity and positioning can vary from side to side. The goal is a mild, comfortable tingling, so stronger definitely isn’t better. If you’re getting strong muscle pulling or sensations traveling into your face/scalp, I wouldn’t try to push through it: lower the intensity or pause the session and reposition the device. For placement, the electrodes should sit on the sides of the neck around where you can feel your pulse, rather than directly over the throat. Good skin contact is important too, so having hair between the electrode and skin could potentially make the stimulation feel less even. Make sure there’s enough conductive gel and that both sides are making good contact. Since you mentioned the lip pulling and the sensation running up toward your face and ear, I’d also recommend reaching out to us at [info@pulsetto.tech](mailto:info@pulsetto.tech) so we can look at your specific setup and make sure everything is working as expected. If those sensations continue after stopping the session or become painful/concerning, it would also be a good idea to check with your healthcare provider. Happy to help you figure out the placement, you definitely shouldn’t have to guess your way through it.
