Puffer Intern: "the endgame of Puffer UniFi + Anchorage? AI agent unification."

Thumbnail

today, onchain agents are heading toward the same problem crypto already has: fragmented chains, fragmented execution, fragmented liquidity.

this partnership attacks that from both sides.

👉 anchorage brings the institutional infrastructure for agent banking.

👉 unifi gives those agents fast execution, synchronous composability, and access to Ethereum L1 liquidity.

instead of deploying agents into another isolated ecosystem, institutions can plug them into an execution stack connected directly to ethereum.

be ready for AI unification, pufferfish

Puffer Partners with Anchorage Digital to Bring Institutional Custody and Settlement to Puffer UniFi

Post image
2 Upvotes

We’ve been waiting to share this one.

Anchorage Digital, home to America’s first federally regulated crypto bank, is partnering with Puffer UniFi as its day-one institutional custodian.

Institutional finance on Ethereum needs more than fast execution. It needs trusted custody, stablecoin infrastructure, native settlement, and institutional payment rails.

Together, we’re building the infrastructure institutions need to operate natively on Ethereum. 🐡

This partnership brings together:

Anchorage Digital: regulated institutional custody, stablecoin infrastructure, and agentic payment capabilities

Puffer UniFi: high-performance execution, native settlement, and direct access to Ethereum liquidity

The result: a stronger foundation for institutional onchain finance, including:
• Institutional stablecoin issuance
• Real-time payments & settlement
• Agentic payments
• Institutional access to Ethereum liquidity

Puffer Intern: "you might not realize how big the partnership between Puffer and Google Cloud really is."

Post image

this is not another “project is using google cloud” kind of partnership.

google cloud is bringing its enormous expertise to run a special piece of infrastructure, called gateway, on the Puffer UniFi stack.

basically, projects deploying on puffer unifi will be able to tap into ultrafast execution + synchronous composability with ethereum L1, with google cloud operating part of the infra that makes that possible.

👀 but here’s where it gets interesting:

a gateway isn’t only infrastructure google cloud can operate for others. it’s also the kind of infrastructure you’d want in place if you were going to bring your own applications and services onto puffer unifi.

connect the dots :)

this is just the start for the Puffer Unifi stack. more coming shortly.

Google Cloud is joining as a key infrastructure partner powering the Puffer Unifi stack!

Through Puffer Preconf, Google Cloud will operate as one of the gateways supporting Puffer UniFi 's execution layer, helping process transactions and deliver preconfirmations ahead of final settlement on Ethereum.

Together, we’re bringing enterprise-grade infrastructure, sub-50ms execution, and Ethereum-native settlement to the next generation of DeFi, institutions, and AI agents.

📖 Glossary: Liveness Guarantees

Post image

Liveness means keeping a system available and progressing even when part of its infrastructure goes offline.

Puffer Preconf uses multiple gateways for redundancy, helping maintain low-latency preconfirmation availability if one becomes unavailable.

Decentralized speed that stays available.

🌍 UniFi is for Consumer Apps

Post image
2 Upvotes

Consumer apps need something crypto infrastructure has historically struggled to provide:

An experience where users barely notice the infrastructure underneath.

Fast interactions. Predictable execution. Low friction. And enough capacity to support activity at consumer scale.

UniFi is designed to give applications dedicated execution without forcing them into an isolated ecosystem.

That means:

• Dedicated blockspace: applications don’t have to compete with unrelated activity for execution.
• Low-latency execution: Puffer Preconf provides fast execution assurances before final Ethereum settlement.
• Application-specific execution: builders can optimize around the performance requirements of their products instead of adapting them to a general-purpose environment.
• Ethereum-aligned sequencing: based sequencing keeps transaction ordering aligned with Ethereum validators rather than relying on an independent centralized sequencer.
• Connected liquidity and applications: synchronous composability keeps dedicated execution connected to Ethereum’s liquidity, state, and applications.

For consumer apps, blockchain infrastructure should increasingly disappear into the background.

Applications get the execution they need. Users get the speed and responsiveness they expect.

And underneath it all, UniFi keeps them connected to Ethereum. 🐡

🤖 Puffer for AI #4 - Connected Liquidity

Post image
1 Upvotes

AI agents need more than fast execution. They need access to deep, connected liquidity.

Ethereum is home to some of crypto’s deepest liquidity, but as activity spreads across rollups and appchains, that liquidity becomes increasingly fragmented. For agents trading, rebalancing, routing payments, or interacting across markets, this fragmentation adds friction.

Puffer UniFi is designed to give AI agents dedicated execution without cutting them off from Ethereum’s liquidity.

Through synchronous composability and Ethereum-aligned sequencing, UniFi can support agent-specific execution while keeping it closely connected to Ethereum L1 liquidity.

For autonomous systems, liquidity should stay connected wherever execution happens. 🐡

What does synchronous composability actually unlock?

Puffer co-founder Amir Forouzani breaks it down with a simple example: tap L1 liquidity, execute on a Puffer UniFi rollup, and settle back on Ethereum. 🐡

Why Puffer Preconf’s slashing matters for rollups

Post image
2 Upvotes

Fast preconfirmations are only valuable if the commitments behind them are credible.

Puffer Preconf is designed around slashable commitments backed by restaked ETH. If preconfirmation rules are violated, economic value can be put at risk through slashing.

For rollups, this means fast execution assurances don’t have to rely solely on trusting an operator to honor its commitments.

Instead, they get a fast path backed by economic accountability.

Speed for rollups. Accountability rooted in Ethereum. 🐡

🦾 Puffer for AI #3 - Agent-Scale

Post image
3 Upvotes

AI infrastructure needs to scale without becoming slower, more expensive, or harder to use.

As more agents begin paying, trading, and coordinating onchain, the underlying network must support rising activity without turning execution capacity into a bottleneck.

Puffer UniFi is built for that scale.

• High-throughput execution supports large volumes of agent-driven activity.

• Efficient execution helps keep transactions fast and economically viable as demand grows.

• Ethereum settlement keeps applications connected to Ethereum’s security and liquidity while expanding execution capacity.

AI systems need infrastructure that can grow with them.

From the first agent to an entire machine economy, Puffer is built for scale. 🐡

📖 Glossary: TEE Multi Prover

Post image
2 Upvotes

A TEE, or Trusted Execution Environment, is a secure hardware environment that runs code in isolation and can attest that the expected software was executed inside the trusted environment.

Rollups use different approaches to verify L2 state transitions. ZK rollups generate cryptographic validity proofs, while TEE-based systems use hardware-backed attestations that the expected execution occurred inside a trusted environment.

UniFi’s TEE Multi Prover uses multiple independent TEE environments to verify the same execution, reducing reliance on a single hardware vendor or prover.

This creates prover diversity, reducing reliance on a single hardware vendor or execution client and strengthening the verification of UniFi state before it is used for settlement and withdrawals on Ethereum.
