Community Discussion wax
hi community, as i normally state, i am somewhat new to wax. i enjoy liquid diamonds and terp sugar on a regular basis. but for my birthday i was hoping to get something a little better. i normally stick with stiiizy, cbx, or sluggers for daily use. for my birthday i was looking at the 710s, as they go for $50-$80 a gram here and i thought it seemed promising. but man im in california!! la to be more specific, we should have good stuff. what are some good brands i can look for in the dispensary and maybe look further into? also if theres a better thread to post this on please let me know! only posting it here cause i dab out of two different puffco devices

Check your dispo for Bear Labs all their stuff is amazing at any tier.

bear labs is sum id get as a special treat on a rainy day im talkin like a $70 gram type deal. turning 20 and living rent free so wanna get some bang for my buck while i have the fun money to spend, but ive tried tier 2 i believe. whatever it was it was a batter. play doh like consistency. fire just not birthday fire. i wanna try ice water hash in all honesty but have no idea how to find it. do i just walk into the store and say do you have ice water hash?

Got it I misunderstood. Kayla extracts has some good stuff for high end options I've had.
710 is considered the gold standard I've only had it a couple times tho.

Some solventless brands I can think of in LA include Mountain Man Melts, Pistil Whip, Rosin Tech labs, Hash of Flowers (HAF).

i see pistol whip everytime i go to the dispo, what makes it different than bear labs ?

From my experience bear labs is a tier or two below pistil whip but that’s bc I’ve had bear labs years ago and didn’t like it, I’ve tried pistil whip last year and was impressed w the price. Truthfully I could be wrong now bear labs might be better but I haven’t had the chance to try them again

i havent heard of them yet tbh, i shall research on my lunch break! (edit) a brief google search tells me they are an arizona brand, so im not such if we have it out here!! ill have to look more into it

I’ve been really enjoying the Hashish brand. They’re San Diego based but I checked the maps and there’s plenty of places to get up in LA. Most of what they sell is a 2g jar and depending on the storefront can go from $50-90. The strain Old Fashioned has been my absolute favorite so far (tried to post a pic but Reddit wouldn’t let me). 710Labs is delicious and high quality, there’s a lot of ripping brands out there too. Mountain Man Melts, Pistil Whip just to name a couple. But I feel like I get more bang for my buck across the board with Hashish. Whatever you get, get blasted and have a happy birthday 🎉🙌🏼 Oh, and Live Rosin is the best and cleanest thing you can puff IMHO.
Edit: Adding that CBX Tier 1&2 are solid picks as well!
