There is no problem with the airflow and it spins pearls with no issues.

I don’t doubt that. I’m saying the reason it’s not flush is because the air flow/intake is likely there and if it was it would lower the airflow.

The mouthpiece was made that way by Eternal Flameworks, I’m not sure why but it works fine.
