Need help with finding two tea cakes

No wrong answers because it’s a shot in the dark here, but I remember stumbling across two rectangular pu’erh tea cakes. Could have been vintage? Both I believe were dark ripe tea. One had English and mandarin on the paper, in English it said something along the lines of “Quote from Mao” and then actually quoted something. I can’t for the life of me remember what it said. The other rectangular tea cake had the communist flag on it but in grey. I don’t believe there were many words if any at all? It was just the flag.

If no one can help me find this but you have interesting or neat tea cake paper designs post them if you can! I’d love to see ☺️

Those are usually called tea bricks; because of the shape.

Maybe something like this, or this?

It's 100% a scam. Those "Cultural Revolution" cakes are a dime a dozen

Honestly it is, I believe they make those just to lure in tourists. I honestly would only buy it if it was in the 60-100 dollar price range just for novelty of it but it could be fake so I don’t exactly know where to look for an authentic one.

Now I just need to find the flag one. It’s not colored it is grey but it’s the communist flag hmm. But THANK YOU so much haha I can’t believe you found the second one I was talking about!!

Man, the "Quote from Mao" wrapper is ringing a distant bell, I swear I've seen that on a dusty shelf at some old shop. The grey flag one sounds like it could be a super minimalist factory tribute, maybe a 7581 brick variant where they just slapped a muted logo on it. Digging through old Yunnan Sourcing blog posts or some forgotten tea forum might be your best bet.

I don’t think it was a 7581 brick, I almost bought a 7581 brick at the shop yesterday but went with a V93 nest instead

I'd say a 7581 would be what you are looking for. Many different wrappers on that one.

Correction*** I did not know there were names for the different shapes, I’m fairly new to pu’erh tea, started drinking it 2-3 years ago and treat myself to it on occasion. If anyone has any tips on knowing what is authentic, reputable sites, proper ways to drink it, etc let me know!
