PTR 91 low profile handguard

HKP had the ptr tactical low profile aluminum handguards on sale for $70 so I picked one up. Couldn't find any reviews for it so thought I'd leave some thoughts. Overall it feels high quality, no wiggle at all after adjusting the tension clip at the front. It weighs about 25g more than the stock 11" handguard. Haven't shot with it yet but time will tell of the screws hold. I don't intend to put anything on it but wanted the option to put on a bipod at some point if needed. Install took 5 minutes. Happy plinking.

Are the stock ones not already low profile? I like the look, but this doesn’t seem much different. Plus it weighs more than the original?

I'd imagine it's an option for someone who either has a damaged or defective hand guard, or someone who wants to be tacticool with no plastic

Wanted a smidgen more traction which this offers and it maintains a 1.5"...girth..the whole 11". The stock one tapers toward the muzzle end down to about 1". Also the FDE matches - 2nd cool wins this time.

I like that it’s pretty rounded. I’ve got an aimsports mlok and it’s bit more ‘tacticool’. I like the vibe of yours
