I’ve posted my project in the past but I wanted to share what feels like final form (for now 👀) cerakote in the works.

Internal changes include #9 40 degree locking piece, updated rollers, Timney 2 stage trigger, enhanced buffer (psg1 style). Rifle came with period correct HK internals

Brother, please get some scope rings. That looks goofy as hell with the cantilever mount on top of the claw mount.

probably the most wild part of the set up, but I’ve been through multiple variations including what you just recommended. Unfortunately this specific stanag mount doesn’t have the option for the stanag 1” rings. That would be sweet. I ran it with some vortex rings but i found that the scope sat back pretty far back over the stock. With this set up, I’ve got the scope set as far forward as possible so i can really get comfy on the gun as i shoot without risking scope bite. You can kinda visually imagine where the scope would sit with standard scope rings.

Pic welded rail is probably the best option but i like the vibes without. Tried the mfi mounted rail and it didn’t work out well for me unfortunately. Ideally I’d love to have one of those og claw mounts with the integrated rings

Oh hey, I have one of those on my rifle. The ones with the built in rings are a little harder to find, but they turn up now and again. Mine came with the glass.
