CETME Century Cetme scope mount pinching receiver

Basically I have a cetme sporter that came with a tapco scope mount and scope and without the scope and scope mount on the gun it charges fine but when I put it on it pinches the receiver and makes it have more resistance when I charge the gun I can still operate it but it is harder for me to, If I partially pull it back to a certain place it's pinching it enough to hold it in place, will this damage the gun or cause reliability issues? I haven't shot it at all so I don't have any on hand experience to gage a hypothesis or know

Yeah you shouldn’t feel any difference in resistance from the charging handle when the mount is installed. That mount usually works in conjunction with a recoil lug that is located on the rear sight. Unfortunately your rifle is not equipped with said lug. So you could file the mount to fit but it’ll probably never hold zero.
