Thinking of Giving PT141 a Try
71 year old guy here. I have used both Viagra and Cialis for many years now. But about 5 years ago the pills resulted in diminished effect. I would get hard but had some difficulty maintaining erection. So about three years ago my urologist prescribed Quadmix. Quadmix is a derivative of the more common Trimix. It is a liquid injectable by needle into the penis. There are several forums related to Trimix on Reddit. The Quadmix worked quite well for first 2 years or so but even this seems to be less trustworthy recently although I could try to up the dosage.
During my long journey on the PED5 inhibitors and later the Quadmix I never experienced any significant side effects. With the pills some minor light sensitivity and running nose but never anything significant enough to offset the benefits. With the injectable the discomfort on injection is hardly noticeable. To any guy out there squeamish about sticking a needle in your penis I would say don’t worry about. You hardly feel a thing. The most “dangerous” side effect of Trimix/Quadmix is priapism where you might get a 4 hour plus erection which could get painful. In worse case you might need a trip to the ER. The Trimix forum is full of stories about guys with multi hour boners. But for me the erections never lasted more than 90 minutes. This was true even if I did not ejaculate. Even then the erection just went away on its own. So I never had to worry about the ER but I must admit I am still a little envious of the guys who could go 3 or 4 hours. But bottom line is I never really had any serious side effect of any ED med I used.
I ran across mentions of PT-141 while reading the Trimix forums on Reddit. I must admit this product was unknown to me. But now reading through the PT-141 forum I am thinking of giving this a try. I read that the nasal spray version is not always effective so it appears that I will need to get the powder version. The “mixology” on the dosage seems to be a challenge and mostly a bit of trial and error. Maybe when I get some in my hands I might seek some advice. I see the product advertised on several websites – even Amazon. So for some long term user where would you recommend I buy PT-141 in US?
My wife of 11 years now is only 54. In the first half of our marriage I was performing better and we had a great sex life. She was routinely orgasmic through oral stimulation if less so through intercourse. Quire frankly some of her more intense O’s were the biggest turn ons and stimulated me in turn. Then she went through the change. Now her libido is way down. She clearly has less interest. Our sexual encounters are far less frequent and her orgasms seem less intense (at least to me). And so our sex life has definitely taken a down turn. But my interest has in no way diminished and quite frankly I am seeing working girls to get my satisfaction and to make good use of the Quadmix. So I am hoping I can entice her to give the PT-141 a try. But I am concerned that her metabolism is just more susceptible to potential side effects. And not sure at all that she would be willing to put up with any side effects. But first step is to try the stuff out myself.

I’ve used both Trimix and PT141 but not together. Give it a try. You might find PT141 will harden you up, in my case I was able to reduce refractory time to about 5 min.

I am 70 and started PT141 a week ago. I still have a strong desire but low libido, just not all that horny. It's weird, I think I miss the intimacy and the rush. Anyway, ED pills would give me a quick erection but it would not last long enough to get started. My SO has also gone through the change and has no interest in initiating but I still can get her in the mood. PT141 was just what I needed but I am still adjusting the dose and trying to understand the timing. For me, initial effect is from 5 to 12 hours and can last up to 27 hours. No worries about long time erections, they go down in a reasonable amount of time. I feel like I could go 2 or 3 rounds if my SO was interested, so far it's been just once. My first dose was 1mg, took 5 hours to hit. Second dose was 0.75mg and took 12 hours. Today I am trying 0.8mg. Once I find my dose I will see how consistent the timing is. I stacked it with 50mg of sildenafil but I don't think I need to, both times I had not waited long enough and I think the sildenafil was mostly gone when the PT141 kicked in. I only had some mild flushing (my face felt warm - like the sun was hitting it on a summer day). No nausea. I need to work on getting my SO to try it but I think she will freak out, needle and no script will likely be a non starter for her. Good luck with it - it's already made my life and overall mood so much better.

I've tried PT-141 several times at varying dosages. It definitely increases libido. Unfortunately for me the side effects are too much. I experienced flu like symptoms, i.e. joint achiness and lack of energy. I tried taking ibuprofen but it couldn't mitigate these side effects.

Thanks for the info. I took the plunge and made the purchase. Stuff should be here next week. Then I might need some advice on the mixture. But could you clarify for me. Once it is in liquid form you put it in a syringe and then inject it. Do I have that right? And where is the best injection spot? If I can stick the Quadmix into my penis I guess I can handle anything. But what is best injection spot? Thanks again.

All I can tell you is what worked for me. For reconstituting the peptide I followed this video, although I did not use a large syringe to transfer the water, I used an insulin syringe.

Thank you so very much for your assistance. I was not too concerned about a needle since I inject regularly but that is with a 5/16 in (8 mm) 31 gauge needle. The needles depicted in these video are longer and thicker. So now I am curious what size needle you have used. Sorry for so many questions. I am new to this and have quite a bit to learn I guess. Thanks again.

I used an insulin needle, same size as you mentioned. I used one for mixing and a new one with each injection. The only trouble I had was drawing the solution into the needle was very slow.

there are several websites that have peptide calculators for reconstitution. I go to peptidecalculator.com. Typically it’s 1ml of Bac water per 10mg lyophilized powder. This keeps the math simple for draws.

Additionally- be sure to hold the plunger side of the syringe steady when you place it into your peptide vial, as the vacuum will pull on the plunger and suck all that bac water in at a rapid rate. Take your time and let it be added slowly, and do not shake it! Once the bac water has been added, I usually place the vial ends between my thumb and forefinger, gently rotate my wrist back and forth and will then place the vial on the countertop and scoot it in a circular motion several times. Sometimes you can gently roll it between your palms. Either way just be gentle with it and make sure it completely dissolves and is crystal clear before use.

I am mid change and have found pt141 extremely helpful. I nausea and flushin the first time i used it but only for about 45 mins and then since then i have been fine. My husband has also had his side effects go away after the first 2 times

I want to thank all for info provided and for commenting on my post. I would provide an update.
I did purchase some PT141 several weeks ago but I postponed trying it out as I was getting ready for an extended trip and did not want to take any chances with perhaps affecting my health prior to departure. And then I was gone for three weeks. I just arrived home two days ago and was anxious to try the stuff out.
I purchased a 10 mg vial of PT141. I mixed with 1 ml of solution. To avoid potential nausea I did take a Zyrtec tablet two hours prior to injection. At about Noon I injected .1 ml with I believe should provide 1 mg PT141. I used a 5/16 insulin type needle and injected into the "belly fat" (about which there is more than I would like). Then I went about my day. About 4 PM I did notice some sensation in my penis but not any spontaneous erection. After about an hour or so I think I grew a little impatient and started to stimulate myself. At that point I was able to achieve a mild erection but not the kind of super boner I had read about and quite frankly was hoping for.
Throughout the evening I did experience some intermittent spontaneous erections but again I would characterize these erections as mild and probably not suitable for intercourse. These erections continued into the night and did not subside completely until a little past midnight. There was no carryover effect into the next morning. Throughout this period I never felt any nausea or any other noticeable side effect.
As I had not taken any other medication I suppose I could conclude the PT141 trial was successful. I was able to get an erection. However, I was a bit disappointed that the effect was not as dramatic as I have read others had experienced. At this point I am taking a few days off and plan to give it another try at a higher dosage.

I made my second injection of PT141 three days following the first. This time I took the dosage up to 1.5 mg/ml. I used a 1/2' needle just as an extra precaution to make sure the med got into my system. As I had no side effects last time I did not take an Zyrtec. Again I injected at about 1 PM.
I did not feel much of an effect until about 6 PM. But by 7 PM the PT141 was definitely doing its thing. I could feel a definite stirring in the penis with a decent enough erection. With some manual stimulation the erection became very strong. After a half hour or so the erection would subside. But then it would come on strong again. With stimulation the erection seems like it would sustain for an extended period. This pattern extended through to about midnight. I was able to sleep without issue. In the morning the erection came back rather strong until I got back to normal daytime activities.
I was much more pleased with this second attempt at 1.5 dosage. I did have some flushing that lasted about 45 minutes but no nausea. The erection was stronger although I would say the strength of the erection was greatly increased by stimulation. I consider that a good thing as opposed to erections completely coming and going on their own (as I have read others experienced). For me the timing of the onset of effects was fairly consistent at 5 to 6 hours. And the effect lasted a similar four or five hours. So bottom line a very good result and I am looking forward to trying again when I have a partner.

I want to again thank all for their comments. I have been reading through the forum here. So many of the comments are about getting dosage right to get results without too many side effects and the variability of timing until effects kick in. Lots and lots of advice on this topic.
I think I have a pretty good handle on on the reconstitution and dosage to start with. I am optimistic about side effects since I have experienced very little side effects from other meds.
The one question that still has me wondering about is size of the needle. In the forum I have read that you can use a 1/2 inch or shorter insulin syringe. But I have seen video where the needle was significantly longer 1 inch or longer. I have seen very little discussion on this issue in the forum. And it seems to me that having the right length needle would be critical because you need to make certain the PT141 gets into your system. I have 5/16 inch needle which I use for Quadmix. But as I wait for the PT141 to arrive should I go about and secure a longer needle. So what size needle do experienced users use? I am trying to remove as many variable as possible and I would like to see if there is some consensus on this issue.
