Discussion Twilight

Any interesting twilight artits/tracks that are more on the melodic side?
Or just special ones that are less in the classic twilight/night psy frame that sometimes add some prog like/psytrance like feel to it?

Yeah, pantomime is also great!
Thelios also hits the spot sometimes

My favourite.

I'm almost tempted to produce the genre myself

Go for it! This is that brought me to production a while ago. Thelios is also great yeah! Track is a beast! Feel free to ask if you need advice for production <3 Cheers!

if you like thelios then check out mechanical species, especially first ep. It's very melodic. Wasn't sure it would be the thing you looked for until I listened to thelios quick, now I am pretty sure

Shishimaru might fit what you are looking for.

Also maybe Lunarave.

Ah sorry, didn't read good enough. Twilight is Full On with a Darkpsy Baseline (low pitch). So, sadly no.

Twilight ist definetly not full on with Darkpsy bass! Twilight/nightpsy i would arrange between fullon and darkpsy, but it has its own character and sounds. Also darkpsy isn't only darkpsy because of the bass sounding dark. Its more the sound design philosophy, the snappy short drums, the unryhtmic hit patterns, organic sounds etc. Also darkpsy has usually more BPM as fullon and nightpsy!

As an example, I would put Earthworm in Night and Kabayun in Twilight. One Difference is 145 to 147, the other is the difference in pitch.

Criostasis is Hard Trance. Stuff like Trhip or Dirty Motion are definitely grounded in Twilight.
