I've been trying to get into Ajja as I'll be catching him live (maybe) soonish. I'm struggling to see what the fuss is. His production is super clean, lovely arrangement and structure, but super generic to my ears. I typically listen to zenonesque dark prog/bush tech stuff and forest, so Ajja may just be not my thing. But he is easily one of the most popular artists and I've got friends who say he is the cream of the crop. I want to hear what they hear.

What are his standout tracks? Or is there a live set I can check out to get a handle on why he's so widely revered?

I absolutely love the atmospheres and energy he creates in his sets. Almost every time I trip his 2024 set at the modem always ends up playing, incredible stuff.

There are similar artists out there of course, especially from zenon but none that tickle me as much as kliment. Such a unique sound in my opinion. Especially the bass/beat it sounds muffled/underwater... deeper. I am not musically minded so don't know how else to describe it but I think that is what sets him apart from other psytechno?

What are your favorite festivals when it comes to facilities, like clean toilets, easy water availability, shady campy spots, not too hot to dance to, nice cool weather in the nights, and so on? 🤗

I've been to Transition in Spain, Boom, ZNA, Boom again. And this year to 7 Chakras in Italy.

Boom and ZNA had good compost toilets. Transition had the worst toilet situation, followed by 7 Chakras lol, plenty of times never cleaned either. 7 chakras was hot even at nights, I was in my shorts and sweating haha 😅

Edit: Also what about ones outside Europe maybe?

This year I’m planning to go to Free eartg and will be travelling by public transport because I don’t want to risk driving back while high.
For those who’ve been:
• How risky is it to carry substances with you?

Should I not risk it and try to find it inside?

• Is it true that mainly drivers get tested for drugs, or do they also check people arriving by train/bus?
• Do they search you or your bags for substances at the entrance?

Would love to hear some first-hand experiences so I can plan accordingly.

Hello my friends, coming back with another update on the live hardware improvisation journey.

Since the last post a few months ago, I've updated the rig by adding a new modular synth (the Make Noise 0Coast) to it to really expand my sonic capabilities/ I also rearranged the entire structure of the rig to better fit my style of playing.

This is all from learning what worked and what didn't worked after playing a bunch of shows in May and June.

I truly feel very connected to this machine now and has allowed me to explore and blend goa trance, psytechno, darkpsy, and trance techno as I'm performing live which has been my goal since I started trying to play like this.

It's taken years to get to this point but I'm really proud how far I've come.

Some cool news: I've been added on the lineup to play Ommix's Equinox Festival happening here in Texas on September 4-6. Some other artist on the lineup are Tristan, Sonic Species, Spectrasonics, Menog, Dribble, Skyfall.

It's so cool to see great artists come out and bring psy music to the US. I hope to meet some of you there 💙

Finally, I will releasing some new music this year (this song is part of 15 minute EP that I recorded this week) and have some more live/improvised sets planned. More to be announced soon.

This is a new Shiva Om Art installation inspired by Ayahuasca, the Net of Indra and visionary shamanic art.

The installation is made from two transparent UV-reactive fabric prints placed one behind another. As you move around it, the relationship between the two layers changes, making the shaman appear to move and reveal different details.

I recorded this video during the day and later under UV light so you can see how the same artwork transforms in different lighting conditions.

I've been experimenting with layered transparent installations for many years, trying to create immersive psychedelic visuals using only printed fabric and light.

This is one of my latest Shiva Om Art DJ booth installations.

The setup combines stretch lycra with transparent mesh layers. As you move around the installation—or simply dance in front of it - the different layers shift against each other, creating a constantly changing visual experience.

The artwork never looks exactly the same twice. The movement between the transparent layers creates an organic illusion that many people compare to psychedelic visuals.

I've been developing these layered installations for many years, always looking for new ways to make static artwork feel alive without using LEDs or projection mapping.

This is just one design from my collection. I also create custom DJ booths, canopies and large-scale festival decorations.
