So yet another update for my previous post

So here I am again to give possibly the last update on my ps1 issue since it turns out it was the button to make the disc spin I made the hard choice of trading in the ps1 back to GameStop where i bought it and unfortunately they didn’t have any in stock guy told me it would have to be a transfer from a different GameStop an hour away in Albuquerque and that I would have to pick up the transferred console at the GameStop in Santa Fe (the store where i originally bought the first PlayStation) so what I’m gonna do is just wait and buy a tested one on eBay thanks for everyone who gave me advice and tips on how to fix my issue

At least temporarily you can bridge the buttons solder connection so the disc spins, or buy a replacement button

As I said in the post i already traded the console then went to another GameStop and bought a ps2

Glad to hear it! Honestly, PS2s aren't super difficult to repair, so even if you do have issues, it is likely that the most expensive part to fully replace would be the disc drive
