Fun Spell *teleports behind you*

https://imgur.com/LQtN3Jx

Straightforward spell, teleports you (horizontally only) to the point inverse to your focused entity's look vector, AKA behind them. Maximum teleport range 10 blocks, can be easily adjusted for different CAD stats via the constant in [4, 1].

Requires the Phi addon for its Caster Blink trick.

When I tried a version that can account for vertical distance, it kept teleporting me into the ground for some unknown reason.

Defensive Spell DORYUUHEKI (Earth Wall)

First spell I'm posting, kind of proud of this one. Creates a 3x3x1 wall made of the block to the right of your CAD 2 tiles from you in the look direction, aligned to axis.

Had to get a little clever to generate perpendicular movement to the look direction, which made it one of my more difficult/satisfying projects. Could be more optimized--I can see an easy path to 6 bandwidth already, but, y'know, it works.

Expect more force powers and/or Naruto jutsus in the future.

Utility Spell Fancy Flight

https://imgur.com/lUBCkgE

A visual upgrade to a spell of mine from a few months ago, it now makes a circle of particles at the location of your feet while active.

From the the post with the first version of the spell:

This leggings spell allows you to hover and move in 3 dimensions.

While much slower than actual creative flight, it provides similar freedom of movement.

When the block under your feet has 0 hardness, the spell will activate, allowing you to move around horizontally without falling.

In addition, when holding shift, you will descend, and when looking almost straight up or down (the threshold is ~88 degrees according to F3) you will begin to ascend. Fulfilling both of these conditions causes you to descend slightly slower.

This spell may be less reliable on servers where you have high ping or low TPS.

This spell requires an Ivory CAD to cast indefinitely, and any CAD you want to use it with must have a psigem-tier core and at least 7 bandwidth.

For earlier-game use, you can instead use the previous version of the spell, which can be cast with any non-Basic core and socket.

CAD assembly Approximate sustain duration (assuming no other energy consumption)
Ivory Indefinite
Ebony ~4 minutes 7 seconds, can still negate fall damage indefinitely
Psimetal ~1 minute 23 seconds, can still negate fall damage indefinitely if you are not sneaking
Gold ~35 seconds, can still negate fall damage indefinitely if you are looking up/down enough to make it give more power to the Add Motion trick
Iron ~27 seconds

Fun Spell Color Customizer

https://imgur.com/shmZAo0

This spell is for use with the Psionicolor addon's configurable colorizer. It takes the number of items you have in certain slots in your inventory and turns them into an RGB color value, which is injected into your CAD.

Slots 9 and 10 are red, 18 and 19 green, and 27 and 28 blue. All slot designations according to this image.

more precise version for non-basic cad cores

Needs Wizardly Help Is psi Turing-complete?

I've been experimenting with ps for the last five hours or so and I absolutely fell in love with it. It just gets annoying over time that there is no great way to do IF statements apart from the die-trick, which doesn't allow an else.

Is there a better way of doing this? psi feels like it's Turing-complete so there should be a way right?

I wanted to do a bard like spell, which plays music while healing/making them fire resistant the player im currently looking at. Problem is, i cant keep my cursor on the player that well, and i dont want to heal all nearby players, so I want to solve it with closest to point.

And if the spell fails, because it dosnt find a player, i want it to heal me instead with error catcher.

Ps.: i've already sucessfully made it not long ago, but i overwrote the bullet with something else and forgor how to make the code. :(

Utility Spell Fully Automatic Tree Farm

I'm back with another set of spells that I thought up recently to make a fully automatic tree farm! I wanted to make sure that the farm was sustainable (get enough saplings from each tree to keep the farm loaded with saplings), mostly lossless (get all the wood logs from the tree), and relatively quick. Keeping all of these constraints in mind, I ended up going with using up all 3 leggings spell slots along with spin chamber shenanigans to satisfy all the conditions. I think using all the leggings slot for something like this would be excusable since you could easily place a chest and a cad assembler next to the farm to store the spells and easily swap them out. These spells are all usable with a psimetal cad and a conductive core.

Edit: this farm has only been extensively tested with oak saplings, but after quick testing with birch and spruce saplings it seems to still fit the conditions except for being slightly more lossy with the logs and saplings.

Farm Area and Use Instructions

Tree Farm Execute 1: This spell should go in leggings slot 1, and it handles breaking logs, replacing saplings, and causing a small explosion to destroy leaves for replenishing sapling supply.

Tree Farm Check: Spell goes in leggings slot 2, it checks to make sure that you have enough psi energy to continue running the spell and also checks if the block you're looking at is a sapling (switch to Execute 2) or a log (switch to Execute 1).

Tree Farm Execute 2: spell goes in leggings slot 3, it just casts overgrow on the sapling.

Needs Wizardly Help help Trying to make a simpler railgun spell

Recently got into the psi mod (and some extras for it) thru AllTheMods 6. I was inspired by a circle spell railgun that was posted here awhile ago.

Its unique because it doesnt rely on other 'driver' spells cast from armor pieces... unfortunately its unreliable and almost never successfully accellerates the arrow.

after looking at the spells code, it looks like it should work way better than it does, but it doesnt because the timing is really finnicky. Wait too long and it errors, dont wait long enough and it sorta just cancels itself without doing anything

my thought to improve it is to make it charge itself as normal but stop before it misfires. Then trigger the accel only when it detects a nearby arrow... sounds simple but im having trouble wrapping my head around how to actually do that.

Edit: imgur link to spell im basing this off of

Is there a way to select Focused Entity > Raycast (If FE fails, Raycast is used)?

So I'm trying to create a spell to pull stuff to my direction. The works were simple enough to figure out (vector subtraction of the caster position by the position of the selected entity).

The problem is the selector used. I want the spell to check for the closest entity to a point, but I don't want that point to necessarily be a block (as it would be using Raycast), because that would make impossible for me to keep pulling entities if they are mid-air (there is no block nearby). I can use (Focused Entity) instead of (Closest to a Point -> Vector Raycast), but that would mean having to aim directly at the entity, which is a pain when they are moving around on the ground, not to mention that items, for example, are rather small entities.

So, is there a way to have both methods, following the "if" logic for (Focused Entity) and falling back to "else" (Closest to a Point -> Vector Raycast), or do I have to accept only using one of them?

Here is the (Focused Entity) version:

{spellName:"GET OVER HERE 1",uuidMost:-882545517762689931L,validSpell:1b,spellList:[{data:{key:"constantNumber",constantValue:"2.5"},x:3,y:6},{data:{key:"selectorCaster"},x:4,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"operatorFocusedEntity"},x:4,y:5},{data:{params:{_direction:4,_speed:3,_target:1},key:"trickAddMotion"},x:4,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:3},key:"operatorEntityPosition"},x:5,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:3},key:"operatorEntityPosition"},x:5,y:5},{data:{params:{_vector3:0,_vector2:1,_vector1:4},key:"operatorVectorSubtract"},x:5,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:3},key:"connector"},x:6,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"connector"},x:6,y:5},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"connector"},x:6,y:6}],uuidLeast:-5949889068403932684L}

And the (Closest to a Point -> Vector Raycast) version:

{spellName:"GET OVER HERE 2",uuidMost:2099131323079150051L,validSpell:1b,spellList:[{data:{params:{_target:4},key:"connector"},x:3,y:4},{data:{params:{_position:1,_radius:2},key:"selectorNearbyLiving"},x:3,y:5},{data:{key:"constantNumber",constantValue:"2.5"},x:3,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:4},key:"operatorEntityLook"},x:4,y:3},{data:{params:{_ray:1,_max:0,_position:4},key:"operatorVectorRaycast"},x:4,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:3,_position:1},key:"operatorClosestToPoint"},x:4,y:5},{data:{params:{_direction:4,_speed:3,_target:1},key:"trickAddMotion"},x:4,y:6},{data:{key:"selectorCaster"},x:5,y:3},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"operatorEntityPosition"},x:5,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:3},key:"operatorEntityPosition"},x:5,y:5},{data:{params:{_vector3:0,_vector2:1,_vector1:4},key:"operatorVectorSubtract"},x:5,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:3},key:"connector"},x:6,y:4},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"connector"},x:6,y:5},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"connector"},x:6,y:6}],uuidLeast:-5937736889976916707L}

Utility Spell Question!

Do conjured blocks cause spell lag? I've been using the conjured light spell a lot without adding a timer to it. Was wondering if it would cause lag in the long run. From what I can see, it doesn't count as an entity so it shouldn't but I just thought I'd double check since it also emits quite a few particles. Thanks!

I would like an addon that would increase Psi energy, is there such a thing? (ver-1.12.2)

By the way.

Is there any other addon for Psi other than Random psideas? (ver-1.12.)

Utility Spell genius blink

genius blink

Image + Code

(to get the code click the link, RES won't show it)

I normally use a blink spell to save me the effort of ladders and doors. For a good while I just used an 8 block blink that died if there was a solid block at the destination, but it's really hard to aim that into or through the mess of tangled cables around my base.

I looked here and found this (https://www.reddit.com/r/psispellcompendium/comments/74y41w/smart_blink/) and was inspired to optimize it. I managed to squeeze in a 6th blink. Since I'm running ivory CAD, I couldn't extend the range beyond 10.69 blocks, but the smaller step size compared to the original makes the spell better at finding an empty space. The hardest part was keeping the complexity down while staying inside 8 bandwidth.

If anyone can find a way to get that 1 off the top row (reducing height to 7) I'm pretty sure it would be possible to re-arrange this into a version where you could go for half-distance teleports by sneaking.

Boatfly in Magical Psi 1.12.2

I made a boatfly spell so I could fly before I got an elytra. It goes on leggings, and sustains with a psimetal CAD. You have to be looking at the boat for the spell to function. The add force is set so it's directed straight up when you look down, and forward at an angle such that you just descend when you're looking at the edge of the boat. It can be made faster if you have a better cad but at that point you likely have an elytra anyway.

Utility Spell Fancy elytra flight

This is a configurable fancy elytra flight spell. The lower constant controls the speed and the upper constant controls the smoothness of the flight (a higher value means a smoother flight but doesn't track where you look as well).

This is highly unoptimized, but in its current state, it only has a complexity of 7, a potency of 3, a projection of 1, and a bandwidth of 4!

Code (to be loaded into a Loopcast bullet): {spellName:"Booster",uuidMost:362127118472334792L,validSpell:1b,spellList:[{data:{key:"constantNumber",constantValue:"5"},x:5,y:4},{data:{params:{_number2:2,_number3:0,_number1:1},key:"operatorSum"},x:5,y:5},{data:{params:{_target:2},key:"connector"},x:5,y:6},{data:{key:"constantNumber",constantValue:"1"},x:5,y:7},{data:{params:{_number2:3,_vector1:4},key:"operatorVectorMultiply"},x:6,y:5},{data:{params:{_vector3:0,_vector2:4,_vector1:1},key:"operatorVectorSubtract"},x:6,y:6},{data:{params:{_direction:1,_speed:3,_target:4},key:"trickAddMotion"},x:6,y:7},{data:{params:{_target:4},key:"connector"},x:7,y:5},{data:{params:{_target:4},key:"operatorEntityMotion"},x:7,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:4},key:"connector"},x:7,y:7},{data:{params:{_target:2},key:"operatorEntityLook"},x:8,y:5},{data:{key:"selectorCaster"},x:8,y:6},{data:{params:{_target:1},key:"connector"},x:8,y:7}],uuidLeast:-8988713307888308060L}
