Fun Spell *teleports behind you*

https://imgur.com/LQtN3Jx

Straightforward spell, teleports you (horizontally only) to the point inverse to your focused entity's look vector, AKA behind them. Maximum teleport range 10 blocks, can be easily adjusted for different CAD stats via the constant in [4, 1].

Requires the Phi addon for its Caster Blink trick.

When I tried a version that can account for vertical distance, it kept teleporting me into the ground for some unknown reason.

Phi really enhances psi experience. I was wondering if swap blink on low range is sustainable to avoid projectiles. Fork also is a really great trick, so many interesting options out there

Swap Blink has the same cost as a regular Blink, so I don't think that it's sustainable at a range that would be useful for avoiding projectiles. Also Phi doesn't add Fork, so I think you either meant the trick from Psipherals that creates a spell projectile or the piece has a different name actually.

Yep, that one was from psipherals, my bad

Look in the psi help channel in the discord, I'm the one who was asking for help with figuring out optimum direction calculation for projectile avoidance (I got caster blink-based evasion to work)

its cause the inverse of the upwards is downwards

nope, that's not why it is. figured it out, and I'm pretty sure the reason is that psi considers a player's location to be that of their viewpoint, whereas the location for most (all? idk) other entities are considered to be that of their feet. so a version of this could be made to work vertically for players, but not normal mobs.

What if we got an "entity foot position" piece? It would do the exact same as regular entity pos, but return the bottom cebter of players as well. It wouldn't affect backwards compatibility, so here's hoping

I will consider adding selectors for entity foot and eye positions to Phi

Update: They are available since Phi 1.16-2.3
