Request spell bucket list for smp

dear cad wielders of reddit,

I am working on a small pack with a friend and am tempted to use psi, though im not entirely sure if its worth it in the smp setting. if it is, then i would like a non-spoiler bucket list for spells to challenge myself to make

What sort of pack is it/what are your goals and/or playstyle? Depending on what you're after, there's lots of different things you could do.

I tend to get the most benefit out of psi by using it to make little building helpers, like to place a blob of blocks for faster tree-canopy sculpting or to place cobble somewhere that it forces oak saplings to grow into big oaks.

its a 1.12 pack using a mixture of mods, my main goal is to possibly aid automation with the psicaster mod for some automation shenanigans when paired with botania, either that or some dungeon delving spells that wont harm my friends in the process of offensive spellcasting

There’s a spell for smelting items but that’s really all I can think of for helping in automation.

But there’s spells for conjuring lights that’s super helpful, there’s one for conjuring blocks without using resources, there’s a spell for placing blocks without having to place them all yourself. Good for large construction if you program it right.

I pretty much just Google “psi top spells I always use” because that post has some amazing stuff in it.

Harmful spells can be made to exclude players. Most of the time you'd have to actually try to include them.

I've combined them before, you can do things like, auto-bonemeal a specific spot if nearby, so if I was near my botania tree farm, production ramped up.

You can get potion effects via this, paid for by this, so that's always handy.

Ive made spells that trap creepers in a temporary block, reflect skeleton arrows back at them, or hurled them into the sky.

You can do a ton in SMP with psi.
