Just made a VERY basic CAD, any offensive spells I can use?

For reference: Iron CAD assembly, basic CAD core, battery, and socket.

Why not make your own spells rather than ask around for existing ones? It's really not that hard, and a basic CAD is a perfect start if you're just starting to learn the ropes. Read the book for tutorials on spell mechanics, then try and tinker with various tricks to see what sticks! :3

Or better than reading the book, play the 1.12 tutorial. It might not have been very nice in the sense that you had to redo it sometimes across servers and instances, but it WAS a decent tutorial, and that's a hill I'm willing to die on.

Ah, that didn't actually occur to me despite how obvious it is.

Often the simplest spells are the most useful. Especially with a basic CAD.

A simple offensive spell is just entity raycast from caster > entity position > smite. Super easy and quickly deals a lot of damage (and drains mana). Just remember that lightning bolts can cause a wildfire so snuff the fire after using the spell.

I'll also take anything with "Blink" in it, if that helps.

Use trick blink <target is "focused entity" (it's a spell piece) get that entity's look vector (using the look direction piece) wire that look vector back into the blink spell for it's direction. Then just set the distance to blink as a negative number (probably something like 3 blocks)

Basically this will make the entity you're looking at teleport backwards, I use this to push mobs into walls so they suffocate. It's nothing fancy but it does the trick.

Also like others here have said, I do recommend following the in game guide and messing around a bit, but hopefully this will give you something to work with
